Raab's Bakery - Tisch resevieren

Traditional independent bakeries are getting scarce now and even more scarce in London especially central London where rents are high. I was so lucky to discover Raabs on a bus journey to Stoke Newington. Finally paid it a visit but as it was late that day, the shelves were bare so I had to make it earlier which is difficult especially if you don't live in Central London and for those who work they have zero chance of trying this gem. The variety at Raabs will amaze you if you go at the right time. A proper traditional bakery with great selection of breads, all delicious, rolls and pastries, as well as cakes plus a hot counter for pies and sausage and bacon sandwiches. The staff are also great, there is a reason for the often found queue going out the door. There are a plethora of fancy bakeries all down Upper St but Raabs is worth them all put together. This is local to me so I visit frequently, but I know many customers travel from afar for this bread. My most recent visit was for hot cross buns which were fantastic! Rarely do you find a classic bakery that brings back nostalgic memories of childhood cakes. This bakery has outlasted other chains like Percy Ingles, and for good reason. Their bakery items are consistently top-notch, reasonably priced, and generously portioned. The staff are efficient, patient, and friendly. The long queues are a testament to their quality. I visited for the first time three weeks ago, and I will definitely be returning.

I'm obsessed with Raab's Blue Cheese And Walnut Sourdough and their Almond Brittles. Honestly, everything they offer is incredible. The bakery has a simple design and a traditional English feel, but their products are top-notch, which is why there are always long lines. I came here wanting a local bakery because, I’ll admit it, we watch a ton of the great british baking show. They have hot cross buns, chelsea buns, mince pies, pasties and savory pies. The pasties and savory pies are not always available at 6am opening.

My boyfriend gets me a bacon and sausage roll from here every morning! If it’s not raabs I don’t want it. Makes my morning everyday. Good quality, lovely staff and very clean shop! Defo recommend

I just made myself sick from eating too much apple pie, I couldn't stop because it was so delicious. There was a bit of a line, but it was definitely worth the wait.

Oh my god, Raabs do the best buns and pastries in town. It is manna from heaven. The staff are the salt of the earth. Can’t recommend enough
