There was a review claiming that the lamb shank was incredibly tender, so much so that it should simply fall off the bone. This was backed up by the fact that it was served with just a butter knife. However, it was anything but tender; in fact, it was so tough that the butter knife could barely make a mark on the sinewy meat. Not busy at all on a Tuesday evening. The manager Bobby served us, and he was really chatty and knowledgeable about the food, and talking with him was a delight. The food was very good. It's not too spicy, but still very flavorful and appropriately hot temperature-wise. Would recommend the lamb shank and chicken tikka masala. Please tell your staff to stop wearing their aprons to the bathroom. I watched 3 employees including my waiter do it while I was there for my anniversary and one of them even wiped his hands on the apron as he was coming out. This is a fantastic spot for lunch in South Pasadena. They offer an excellent lunch combo/special that is definitely worth trying. Everything is incredibly flavorful, with just the right amount of seasoning—perfectly balanced and not overly spicy!
