We celebrated our daughter’s 8th birthday. The ambiance was fun for the kids. The food overall was very disappointing. My son said the rice that comes with the maple glazed salmon was undercooked and crunchy. My husband ordered the taste of the islands and the fish was very dried out and bland. My mother wasnt happy with how undercooked the rice was either that came with the fajitas. I ordered the steak and shrimp. My steak was overcooked and hard. We did not complain to the server because it would have been way too many issues to correct. Our server was friendly but I rated service 3 stars because we weren’t asked or given any refills on our drinks (which we all wanted) and the host was not...
My girlfriend and I had always wanted to visit this restaurant, so we decided to come here for our anniversary. The service was excellent, our waitress was attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant and watching all the cool animals. However, we were disappointed with the food we ordered. The rice was dry and hard, the vegetables were crunchy, and the coconut shrimp was just okay. The sauce that came with it was not to our liking. The salmon was burnt on the bottom and the bourbon sauce was not great either. So, first they wouldn’t seat us until our entire party was there. The restaurant was almost completely empty and we have a two year old. Get rid of this obnoxious policy. Food was okay. Previously frozen burger, heavily overpriced. Service on the other hand… the server but the opposite of warm. Very blunt. Just yes and no answers. I don’t think I even saw her smile. Really cool place for kids and adults!!! This place is really cool and parents bring your kids here to eat.... they will definitely let you enjoy and eat your food because there is so much to look at from your dining table that will keep they eyes moving. The experience was overall great. Both times I dined in the customer service was friendly welcoming. Kids loved the set up atmosphere 10/10 Food was 5/10. Very Expensive regular tasting. Beyond burger was decent. Ordered the Mozzarella flat bed w/arugula… best of the two.
I would not order the fajita I would not order. It was not very good. My husband order the chicken fried chicken with potatoes which was amazing. We have been to the rain forest cafe in Galveston Texas and grapevine Texas and we love them all.
Lets be honest... mind blowing food is not why you goto Rainforest cafe. The food was good, the staff were great and the atmosphere entaining! Always love this place... even better for kids!
