Raj on Taj Hyde Park

We dropped in to check out the new Raj on Haj. The new owners have been there for about three weeks having previously worked at the Raj on Taj on Unley Rd. The first impression is the great ambiance with inside and porch dinning areas. Romantic candlelit tables or well lighted group tables. The staff were very attentive and service excellent. Upon seating you get a bowl of pappadams which didn't last long. We ordered the Chicken Coconut Special which came in a cute coconut and was so tender and delicious. The Beef Vindaloo had an excellent sauce and was quite delicious, my only comment was the beef was a little on the tough side, but that changes with every batch so will try again next time....

Raj on Taj is now my go to for Indian in Adelaide. The food is absolutely fantastic, flavoursome, plentiful and minimal waiting time. The service is excellent. Last time I ate there with my partner they randomly gave us a free meal just because. They also offered me the more expensive wine at the same price as the lessor. Things like that (which I rarely experience) make me go there regularly. I've been 4 times and they now know I'm the guy that asks for 'extra tasty butter chicken' haha10/10

We dined as a table of 4, four mains, some naan, rice and salad. We used the entertainment book voucher and after a $50 bottle of wine and our meal the bill was $114. The service was excellent. My only nit pick was the mains could have been a little warmer, whether it was cold plates or sitting around in the bowls a bit. Management asked what I thought, they were told and took it on board. I would come here again.

I accidentally reviews the other Raj in Unley instead of Hyde Park (thanks for clarification guys). I have to agree with some of the other reviewers. Great food, amazing specials and lovely warm service. I understand new owners here and I wish them all the luck. Can't beat a great curry with the log fire going! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Came here for our leaving meal and was not disappointed. Once you walk in the atmosphere is wonderful. Food is great i recommend the butter chicken which is sweet. We had goat madras and as i recall other various meats. Its a must for adelaide

It was the smell that brought us off the street on a chilly winter evening in Adelaide. Exotic spices, charcoal and a murmur of laughing. Open the door and you know it's going to be good, and it didn't disappoint.

Really enjoyed our Samosas, Daal, Butter Chicken and Spicy ???? Beef Vindaloo - great service and food - lucky we are not too far - going back soon - takeaway too ????
