We've eaten here for well over 20 years and rarely go anywhere else for either a takeaway or sit down meal. We visited a couple of weeks ago for the first time since what I assume is new ownership. The place suffers the misfortune of long term building work nearby, affecting the visibility and access to the property but don't let this put you off. Once through the door the decor and ambience is very nice and the welcome was as warm as usual. We enjoyed poppadoms, mains, rice and naan bread, all of which were excellent and was matched by the service. The prices are competitive too. To be honest, I never expected to find an Indian restaurant in Hull, a small, historic town in Great Britain, so far from London. However, once I discovered it, I felt compelled to visit and satisfy my craving for Indian cuisine. While the exterior didn't seem particularly impressive, stepping inside made me incredibly happy, beyond what words can express. Came for a family meal, greeted politely by the staff and served one of the best lamb rogan Josh’s I’ve ever had. There is simply nothing bettter than Raj Pavilion when it comes to Hulls Indian cuisine. I am overjoyed by the service and the meal and the only thing I’m worried about is the fact that I may not ever feel the same happiness that the first mouthful bestowed upon me.
We visited the Raj Pavilion for the first time tonight and I can honestly say that hands down it was the best authentic Indian food I ever had! The ambience, customer service and quality of food were excellent. The menu was very cheap and the staff was very attentive and helpful. Highly recommended and will definitely be back soon!
I take the Mrs here all the time. Thoroughly enjoy every time I come and the food is excellent. Atmosphere is lovely and the staff are always willing to help. This has become a real romantic spot for me and my wife and I believe it's really helped repair our failing marriage
The Indian food here is absolutely delightful, offering a range of beautiful dishes that make for an unforgettable meal. The staff are very accommodating and flexible. It does get a bit loud, but I suppose that's a sign of its popularity!
I went with my partner and the food was outstanding. It took a little time to realise it was open, due to the surrounding building work, but it very much is. Well worth visiting for an authentic and delicious dining experience!
The staff were lovey, beers were cheap and the food was impeccable if Hull were ever to lose the Raj Pavilion it would be worse for it. My children and my wife consider this the finest establishment they’ve ever visited.
