I went there and ordered coral trout, chips, tiger prawn cutlets and calamari all for a low low price $36.00The coral trout, which is usually delicate and lovely and a big serve u would think for $8.00, was rubbery, and tiny, and had a horrible taste...it wasnt coral trout at all, it bounced wen i put it on a plate. The crumbed tiger king prawns were badly burnt, the calamari was over cooked and dry and i guess u could say calamari slivers with bulk frozen crumbs. The chips were ok, but a small serving for a supposed family size. Customer service was great, but who ever is cooking really needs to pick their game up. As for the best fish n chips in cairns....i would expect fresh local produce...
Lovey battered fish, fresh chips and friendly service! Loved that the shop had games to play while you wait for your order and the chips were cooked perfect and crunchy. Have had the battered a couple times this week and it is crunchy and the fish is fresh each time! Would recommend to anyone wanting decent fish and chips
Quick takeaway dinner. Very unassuming shop frontage. Service was friendly and magazines and games were available to play while we waited for our order. The company flyer said the best fish and chips in Cairns. Meal was excellent. Chips - perfect - nice and thick, not this French fry rubbish .Would certainly recommend.
I've often seen the crowds around Ramsden Fish and Chips on my way home. There are people pouring on to the street every evening no matter what time you pass. Ramsden Fish and Chips is quite honestly the best fish and chips in Cairns.

This is our local fish shop and seems to be new owners. The fish is a goodsize and fresh ,the batter on the fish has improved from the previous owners and burgers are quite large . Good place for a feed
Hate it when people try and impersonate a well known brand in the UK. It is Fish and Chips and it is okay-just hate the unoriginality of the name.
Drove from Edmonton today for lunch with family just to find they closed sign said open at 11.30am it now 12.10 and they closed WTF
The food was delicious, with crispy fries and perfectly battered fish :D
