We used to bring our family here often but, after not coming here for several years and entering again for the first time in a long time, I was disappointed. We visited on Sunday 10/18/20 at around 3:30 pm so whoever was the lady at the front door should be retrained immediately! This lady was so damn rude to say the least. It was a party of 4 and we had a baby in a stroller. When asked how many of us we said 4 and she looked at us at tho we were retarded and looked down at the stroller and re-asked the same question in a rude manner! We again said 4 and a baby... she literally pointed at each one of us counting 1-2-3-4- and 5 pointing at the baby! And just walked off and just said follow me...
In the 90 's Ranch One was THE BOMB. It was THE BEST chicken sandwich in NYC. Living in NJ the last 16 years, I thought there were no Ranch Ones here. I will NOT spend my money at Chik-Fil-A, so, no chicken sándwiches sandwiches for me.Then, while taking a little trip down memory lane, I decided to Google it and I saw that there IS a Ranch One on 46, SO CLOSE to my house!! Why didn 't I know?I called and ordered for my family, and the employee on the phone (Hector was SUPER friendly and SUPER helpful. My husband went to pick it up. The chicken was every bit as delicious as I remember, it was the best salad I 've had in a year, and it was SO MUCH FOOD that we put away a ton for the next day....
Haven't been to this location in a long time so decided to try it. There were about three different parties waiting and no one was at the front. When the gal finally did come she apologized and sat the party in front of us. Then the manager came and said there was only one server that day and the wait would be about 15-20 minutes. The party behind us left since they had small children. We had no problem with the wait and Kat was our waitress, well she was everybody's waitress. LOL. Had to give her props, she did an excellent job. Our question was why didn't the manager help out? Maybe that's not the way they do things there but we felt a little sorry for poor Kat. But she was at her sweetest...
This is a Ranch*1 and Blimpie in a shared location. The food was a bit different than all of the other Ranch*1s that used be around NYC. The fries were different and the bread was different (maybe because of Blimpie? The classic grilled chicken came with lettuce, tomatoes and roasted red pepper sauce on it already (instead of just Romaine lettuce and sliced almonds and it did not taste like it was marinated with the classic recipe.
