If I could give this restaurant half a star, I would. The place is advertised as Mexican, but the music playing is the only thing that fits the description. The walls are adorned with fake grass and flowers, sombreros, Mexican skeletons, and plastic toucan birds. We ordered appetizers, but when we told our waitress we wanted to also order main dishes, she insisted that the appetizers were sufficient. The tortillas appeared to be store bought. I have never been to a place that dictates what you should eat, with the waitress suggesting we only have appetizers. The soda listed on the menu for $2 was charged as $3.50 for a well drink. The ambiance at this restaurant is beautiful and the staff is friendly. However, I found it odd that most of the waitstaff did not seem to speak English despite the menu being in English. The service was good and the food was decent. I ordered shrimp with paprika, which came with rice and guacamole. The rice, beans, and paprika were delicious, but the shrimp was a bit bland. My wife's dish, which included chicken, shrimp, beef, mushrooms, and paprika, also suffered from a lack of seasoning. We did enjoy the cactus dish, which we shared with a friend. The drinks were well-made and the restrooms were clean. The restaurant had beautiful decor and followed COVID-19 safety guidelines.
This is the best Mexican restaurant in the area where I live. It is the second location and has a large dining area with beautiful decorations. The food and drinks always meet my expectations.
The food is amazing, this is authentic mexican food. The chille rellenos (stuffed peppers) are my favorite. It is a little pricey but so worth it. I definitely recommend this place.
