This is the kind of place I've been searching for since moving to Valley Stream. This bakery is simply a door on the side of a brick building, but once you step inside, the aroma of freshly baked bread envelops you. It's essentially an office space where the bread is displayed in a case, while the rest of the bakery is inaccessible. It may not be aesthetically pleasing, but it doesn’t need to be. The pretzel rolls alone make the trip worthwhile. They offer a variety of bagels, loaves, and pastries, and if something isn’t available, they’ll be baking for later. Not prettiest place when walking in, but it's not a store front bakery. They are a wholesaler that sells to the public, too. I will not buy bread anywhere but here minus slice bread. Just never ask for it. You can pre-order any type of bread for all occasions from dinner rolls to bread bowls. The women at the front counter are always helpful and very nice. Great service, products and value. I don’t find their bread as flavorful as some other Italian bakeries. If you’ve had a great Pane di Casa, you know what I mean. Also, *CASH ONLY*. Along w loaves and rolls they also sell dough, yeast, sausage bread and more. The staff are great people—so positive and helpful.
I could smell this bakery from several blocks away, and I just had to go in to try their bread. Wow, it's the best bread I've ever tasted! Their danishes are incredible as well! I highly recommend it!
