I had been excited for weeks to visit red dog saloon as I have visited before and the chicken was good. We went on a Saturday evening and firstly it was very busy. We had booked a table so we’re seated after a short wait. Service was slow but it was busy. We ordered two main dishes (both chicken), a side of burnt end mash and a side of nachos. The chicken was very good. Plentiful in portion size and great flavour. This was the highlight of the meal. The mash was one of the most atrocious portions of mash I have ever laid eyes on. Swimming in what could only be described as fat rather than gravy. No taste other than fat and mash of such questionable consistency it didn’t appear there most of...
Where do I start… It’s best to start at the beginning. We turned up to the restaurant with a party of 9 people, and we had booked the restaurant for 8pm. There was no table ready, and we had to wait at the end of the bar for 35 minutes before we were eventually seated. The restaurant staff positioned us at the end of the bar, where all of the dirty glasses were being left, and we all felt unwelcome. After we were seated, and we waited for our food, the orders came out very slowly, with some people’s meals coming out 10-15 minutes before other food, and then there was a mixup with some of the order. After we finished our meals, we waited a good 20+ minutes for our dirty plates to be collected...
This place has been going rapidly downhill for years (somehow it still hasn't hit the absolute bottom). The apathetic staff will took ages to take our order and even longer to provide any of it. What did come was tiny, overpriced and poorly cooked portions and they have the nerve to add a service charge on top! Anyone who eats here has made a dreadful mistake, but make the best of it and get them to take off the service charge. In fact, many people, including me, end up getting refunds due to the terrible quality and cooking of the food.
Me and my boyfriend came on a very busy Saturday it seemed. We received our starters and drinks then felt like we were forgotten about. We were both trying to get out waitresses attention but wasn’t getting recognised. We had been without drinks for over 40 mins and starters had still not been cleared. Our waitress apologised kindly but overall service was poor. The music was so loud making it even louder in the restaurant than it needed to be. Disappointing evening.

The burgers were nice but at that price you should get some fries and perhaps a little side salad. Service wasn’t anything special. No one asked if everything was ok. This particular restaurant just seemed badly managed. Staff having a drink behind the bar, that should be done out back. Staff also piled empty glasses up on the bar. They didn’t even empy them. These should be taken out of view. We probably won’t be going there again.
For meat lovers everywhere. This place is amazing. I definitely recommend the carnivore platter. We have visited several times since it opened and the food has always been amazing. The staff are hard working and very good at their job. which they need to be as it's always busy. But even at its busiest you wont wait long for your food. It's always good to book a table though you can usually find a place even at prime time
We received terrible service from a number of staff. We had asked for the simple necessity’s such as napkins, knifes and forks as there wasn’t any already on the table yet we didn’t even receive any of these. We had to wait 30 minutes for some water and even longer for our food. The food was okay but the service ruined the whole experience. The staff did not seem to be bothered with us at all.
Coming from Kansas city, we happened by the Red Dog. Knowing Blake's Red Dog saloon in the states I was curious how BBQ would be. Pulled brisket sandwich was tasty. Brisket is Usually served sliced in states. Serving fries in warmed cup was good touch. Staff was friendly and efficient. Decor is similar to RD back home. It was an enjoyable lunch

Very disappointed, bland, overcooked brisket , tasteless pork shoulder, what you pay for this food it’s hugely disappointing and some of the worsed bbq I’ve eaten, overhyped in my opinion, and not to mention our order was wrong despite not being that busy.
Great food and friendly staff. Did the lunch deal and couldn’t eat everything. Popcorn chicken is delicious. We had a gouie Louie and a Philly cheese and both were yummy.
