The food was absolutely terrible. The Lo Mein was nothing more than spaghetti, and the chicken was dry and lacked flavor. The Kung Pao chicken was also tasteless. The only highlight of the meal was the egg rolls and Rangoon, which I'm pretty sure were store-bought. Considering the price, you'd be better off spending $5 on a box of dried spaghetti and a bottle of sauce. Honestly, that would be a far more satisfying meal.
If plain white rice had a flavor, it would perfectly capture the essence of this restaurant. Everything lacks seasoning and taste. I can't help but wonder if Wilford Brimley was ever an owner here. On the positive side, the staff is exceptionally friendly. Just a piece of advice: avoid ordering any beef or chicken dishes, as they tend to be mostly 90% broccoli, celery, or other vegetables.
I have three vegans in my family, so this restaurant is a favorite in our household. Personally, I'm not a big fan of tofu, but my kids rave about how incredible the tofu dishes are prepared in various styles.
The food here is consistently excellent, and their ham fried rice is my favorite in the valley. It's tough to find a lunch special that matches their quality and price.
