The owner of this diner has an attitude problem. I really mean it. I order 2 kinds of set menu 4 separate dishes )and 2 other dishes to go. A lot to prepare, and they left out one dish by mistake. I found out one dish was missing after I already got home. Oh no.. I didn 't want to spend another 25min. to go back to this diner to pick it up. I called the diner, and the owner already knew why I called. Without any apologetic comments, He kept saying Don 't worry, I will give the money back. Of course, he must give me my money back, but before that, he has to say and mean Sorry ! He kept cutting off what I was saying, and he said Don 't worry, you 'll get the money back. How rude he is! I asked...
To be fair I don't go out to eat often because I work opposite shifts of all my friends and when I crave stuff like this none of my friends are available to go with but I order to go from here OFTEN and it is by far my favorite ddeokbokki in the area. I have other kimbap places I prefer in Fairfax but the Deokbokki is always the perfect balance, not overly sweet the sauce isn't overly thick and the rice cakes are also my favorite kind. I cannot speak to the service and of course to go isn't an ideal way to consume fried foods so I haven't tried a lot of the menu but I have enjoyed everything I have had from there thus far.
While I was pleased to find the great food still being served, I noticed a significant decline in their service. I was attended to by the owner, who came across as a bit rude and seemed to ignore his customers, including another table next to mine. It was disappointing to witness that. I truly hope he sees this feedback and takes steps to improve his service.

- Ambiance: Hasn’t changed much, with a lot of red that may represent 'spicy'
- Restroom: Quite decent
- Parking: Plenty of spaces and free of charge
Good for the best Korean street food you'll find in the area. Consistently good results, even for take-out at 9PM on a slow weekday. The food keeps impressing everyone we bring.Don't expect high level service and you'll be great. There was only one gentleman who took our orders, brought takeout, greeted customers, gave us utensils and napkins (it was self-serve so he didn't have to), and spoke on the phone while the two ajummas behind us basically ignored everything and didn't seem to lift a finger. I guess it was closing, and they were ready to leave. Cool.

Went there with my family on a weekday, they were closed around 6pm when their website said Open . We drove 30 minutes and wasted our gas and they were closed!! We tried to call them but no one answered the phone. I even tried opening the door but it was locked and the inside was dim with no lights ON. We did go to a different place to eat, a place near this restaurant since we came from far distance. This action of theirs is very unprofessional and low class ?
Great place to eat tteokboki and kimbab! We also love their fried chicken, but recently, we had a bad stomachache after dining there. Not sure if the chicken was bad or the sauce was bad, but something wasn't right. We still like the place and will return, but I can't guarantee the consistent quality of the food.
I really love this place! The food is excellent, and the owner is friendly and knowledgeable. It's a great spot; even though I live out of state, it would definitely be my go-to restaurant. I make it a point to visit every time I'm in town, which says a lot. I especially love their chicken!
The food comes out very quickly and is very delicious. I've tried their spicy rice cake with cheese and noodles added, the spam kimbop, and their sweet potato dumplings. The restaurant is small but clean and well kept.

The food here is quite tasty, offering a generous portion with great flavor. However, the service can be a bit slow. It also felt freezing inside, so it seems like they might not have turned on the heat.
Delicious and refreshing food at an extremely affordable price. We also enjoyed warm, cozy atmosphere with a great service. We can?t wait to return and try more dishes on the menu.
