we reserved for a group of 9 people in 1/2 pension following the previous notice. a priori the officials changed. but not that; The super positive point is very well maintained, very clean. on the other hand, at the level of reception (cold and non-participatory) and restoration, they would need to review their copy. the quality and quantity of the dishes really leaves to be desired. After a day of rando, the meal served is not worthy of a refuge. a soup (when asked for composition, impossible to have a response!!!) followed by rice with an pineapple meat (high mountain plate well known). for 9 people we each had 4 tablespoons of rice and overall the amount of meat was to represent 400/500 g...
after a little rando, stop improvised at the shelter. ouaahhhh simplicity, sympathy and good time are at the rendezvous! a short card and simple dishes. I'm sorry, I didn't test the famous donkey ears, but the rest is also very bob. special mentions for homemade desserts, almondine to raspberries and of course... the blueberry pie with a good broken paste that smells good home!In summary, if you want to spend a good day, enter your agenda the turn of the valley on foot with a stop at the refuge and a visit to the ruins of the old village.
We took advantage of our stay in vars to go for a walk to the val of escreins and lunch at the refuge. very charming reception, quality cuisine, very pleasant terrace. The dishes are rich and succulent (you must taste the donkey ears). The dishes offered in the children's menu are as much. We had the opportunity to enjoy the decks available to the guests in front of the mountain, after lunch.A place to discover. do not hesitate to book because the place is very popular.
very relaxing environment after a small hike in this beautiful place. We have 2x lunch and the welcome has always been very friendly. The card is simple but it is quite normal. Very good local cuisine, I recommend the ears of donkeys, excellent gratin made of spinach, pancakes and bechamel, I have feasted. very beautiful omelettes also. for dessert a blueberry pie whose paste seems to me to be made home because very good. We're late to go back.

we camped near the shelter and with a price of 5€ had unlimited access to the toilets and showers with hot water, sinks for toilet and mirror, kitchen sink, picnic table, a flat location. very welcoming owners, good advice for hiking in the area. in case of inconvenience this refuge is also a swelling, we were welcomed to protect us. We highly recommend!
in the park of the escrins, this gite facing the mountain welcomes you for a meal, a night in dorm or in tipis. Simple local cuisine. The access is easy (a parking lot) nearby. Very beautiful access road and arrival in a beautiful site
in the middle of nature, a splendid place overlooking the whole valley, the refuge has a speciality, the ears of anna!! the torrent passes by, a haven of peace. we call this valley the canada varsin!!! an exceptional place
after a long hike we had lunch here. the service was very friendly. we ate an salad with speck and kartoffel and a moussaka. the ingredients were fresh and the price paid corresponded to the quality offered.
