the refuge of space is worth the detour. at the foot of the devil's keel (all st martin,) at the end of the transfleuron glacier, suspended above derborence and adorned on the side of the devil's massif, the view is breathtaking. Since the arrival of the cable car of the red scex, a little hour walk (still strictly to the marked markings) is taken on the glacier, in a false flat. the platform advances as in the void above the valley of the lizerne. We can't help thinking about the collapse of the cliff that took place in 1714...The hosts are friendly and welcoming. very beautiful terrace with cows skins, deckchairs or tables to eat the lunch (better to book) the inside of the shelter is hut....
Refuge L'Espace is a very special mountain restaurant on the Tsanfleuron Glacier by the Quille du Diable. Fantastic views to peaks. It is accessible from the ski slopes on top of the Glacier or by walking for 45 minutes from the Glacier 3000 top station along the snow road. On a day when there is a biting wind the warmth of the cabin with about 25 seats is seductive. The atmosphere is very special with food cooked in full view on a wood burning stove. The menu is local , and the dishes though simple are good - cold meat and cheese platter, warming soups including the excellent soupe du chalet a delicious barley and vegetable , ravioli , sausages and sauté potatoes and a daily special. Dies ist ein großartiger Ort, der von der Seilbahn aus einen Spaziergang wert ist. Es ist sehr schön eingerichtet und verfügt über eine Terrasse mit einer der besten Aussichten, die man in einem Restaurant überhaupt finden kann. this atypical restaurant is to be done when you climb to the 3000 glacier. idea to take a break and to enjoy this sensational landscape on the alps. Inge and roland managers are adorable and very welcome. the dishes offered are simple but fresh and tasty. It takes about 1 hour walk from the cable car to reach the refuge.
Stunning views from the terrace that overlooks Derborence.Delicious food based on local products.Efficient and smiling service.In the summer one needs to walk 30-40 minutes from the Glacier 3000 cable car to reach Refuge l'Espace. In the winter a ski lift takes you very close.
This place is a must if you are on the glacier. The views are incredible and the food is good BUT remember it is CASH ONLY! It is a small place with only a few waiting staff so at busy times the service can be very slow. Its still worth the trek over the glacier though.
We ski a lot in Villars and when the weather is right head to the Glacier..this restarant/bar is a must visit place ... very friendly,great food and service plus the best views...you cannot book so i recommend an early lunch/beer/Vin chaud etc! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Stunning locations and breathtaking views. Friendly service, and despite the location, served us quickly efficiently and the hot chocolates were still hot despite it being -10 where we sat outside. Unique and special place.
