This charming traditional tea room features lovely decor with classic teapots and teacups. However, there are a few drawbacks to mention. The staff doesn't seem particularly enthusiastic, which can detract from the experience. While they do try to promote health-conscious options, it feels like they could do more, especially considering they are an established tea room that offers a variety of breakfast choices. Additionally, the vegetarian sausages could be of better quality; Richmond sausages would be a good standard to aim for. Went to teignmouth for the day but didn't want fish and chips. We were so pleased to find this gem. Spotlessly clean with pleasant decor, super helpful and friendly staff and a varied and well priced menu. We had sandwiches which were presented beautifully with salad, coleslaw and crisps. They didn't stint on the filling either. Delicious! My tea was presented in a china pot with cup and saucer and there was enough for two really. A really lovely place to sit and eat and totally on top of the covid restrictions too. Fabulous cake selection but too full to indulge. Next time.
We made a reservation in advance for our party of four adults and three children, and the perfect table was set aside for us. The extensive selection of both sweet and savory dishes gave us plenty of options to choose from. Everything was fresh and prepared to order. I highly recommend the lemon and blueberry cake—it was absolutely delicious!
We had a wonderfully welcoming experience in the furnished room for our group, which included our dog. The sandwiches were delicious, and there was an impressive selection of homemade cakes. my man I came to teignmouth for the day came over this wonderful caffe. it is clean the personal was friendly. we had carrot cake that was so easy to taste. next time we'll eat here.
Lovely staff. Nice traditional tearoom. Great food a lot of choice and a wide range of gluten free items including scones, cakes and breads
