Update: Went back a second time when visiting Nelson, and it was just as good. This time, we sat inside, and the restaurant interior was really nice and not too busy for lunch on a Friday around noon. I had the breakfast pita which had local Silverking Tofu, veggies, and a great tahini sauce. Rel-ish is on my must-go-to list in Nelson. Was in Nelson for the week, and being gluten free, was encouraged to check out Rel-ish. So we went for lunch. Super friendly staff. Very clear in their expectations of what they have decided to do in order to stay open and continue to serve the public and give options to their community. We started with gluten free onion rings. Having Celiac, I haven’t eaten out and ordered onion rings in a super long time. And…they were delish! And the aioli we dipped them in was also amazing. Reading a previous review, I came for the breakfast wrap. Unfortunately the menu had changed and so I went for the burger (though the tofu bowl was tempting. The burger made up for the initial disappointment as it was nice thick juicy burger with lot's of (pickled flavour going on. I can't make up my mind if the glass ketchup bottle was a pro or a con as shaking it violently to get some ketchup out of it gave me some positive childhood flash backs. This restaurant has far exceeded my expectations and I am all for the food. The quality, service, drinks are by far some of the best I have had. This place even out does my experience at high end restaurants in Vancouver. The food was amazing. Let me tell you this, if your looking for a date night go here, anniversary go here, hungry on a Friday night go here. Beyond anything I have experienced. I am bias, but try there beet salad. Amazing service, super accommodating chefs and delicious food! Our group is all plant based and a few people have really specific food allergies, the chefs made some switch outs and gave us the loveliest meals to boot! The veggie wraps are unbelievable, also tried the korean burger subbed with veggie patty, friends had the prawns and fillet with egg. Everyone adored their food and the servers were lovely. I didn’t go here (there is a reason for that). Looking at the menu online, it appears that they read don’t have ANYTHING vegan on the menu (without significant modifications). If the online menu as of Feb 2023 reflects the actual offerings, this place should not be listed on HappyCow. Pretty unfortunate.
Tasty food and excellent service. Stopped in for lunch with my mom when it was 40+ outside. Had the jug burger and it was delicious with the spicy Peanut Sauce. My mom had the poutine and it looked awesome. Fries were done to perfection- nice and crispy
Went for brunch this morning and we were super happy with the food! Got the Nelson Breakfast and Jughead Burger. Really loved the potatoes in the breakfast. Service was friendly and attentive. Space itself is nicely decorated and clean. Would go again! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Great breakfast vegan skillet option. Looks like there's a vegan option on most menus and they say on their Facebook page that they can always accommodate veganism if asked. Food, service and atmosphere were great.
