Unfortunately, the restaurant no longer offers the chickenless chicken option, which means there are no vegan choices available anymore. This is disappointing because their veggie chicken used to be quite delicious. On the bright side, their Pollo Loco dish remains excellent. You can forgo the cheddar and creamy cilantro, but they do have a salsa bar with a variety of sauces to choose from. This used to be a go-to spot for a quick meal, but it now feels incomplete without that key menu item.
El Pollo Loco is delicious. However, if you want all the food you've ordered and paid for, and you don't want to wait forever to get it, don't order curbside. You will wait until you get irritated and either walk in or go to the drive-through (nearly 15 minutes past the pickup time for me). And, like I said, you'll maybe get half your order. I'm missing chips from my nacho combo meal, and my soup. Teach me to order ahead, I guess.
It's a bit of a mixed bag. Sometimes the food is spot-on and delicious, but other times it's messy and let down by dryness. The customer service can be great, yet occasionally they have trouble fulfilling a simple two-item order correctly. I’d rate it 2.5 stars overall, mostly because I really enjoy the double chicken tostada when it's prepared properly, though I believe it could be improved with the addition of black beans.
It's a hit and miss. Half the time is good and right. The other half is wrong. Sometimes the chicken is good, sometimes dry. Sometimes the customer service is super, others, they can not get a item right even if you order only 2 items. 2 1/2 stars for me. Just stop by El Pollo Loco to buy dinner for my kids, because they love the Chiken and M&Cheese, and I got home and find out that the chiken is burn, just by opening the box you can smell the burning Chiken, and this is not the first time last time I went the Chiken was dry and hard looks like was cooked long time ago ?!! So please check the food quality.
I've been here for years. I was instantly surprised how beautiful the guy was in the front and how fresh the food was. I was also surprised how high their ratings for a faster food type restaurant were. Usually most of these restaurants are under 4. I just wanted to add my 5 stars to the sum. You will not be disappointed with this Baja style faster food.
My girlfriend was violently throwing up for 3 days straight after only eating from this location. Friendly service at the cash register but some guy was trying to sweep under our feet in the lobby when we were the only ones there's. Definitely made her uncomfortable, just not as much as the food. Save your money, go to Chipotle
I really enjoy this restaurant. They serve some of the best chicken around. The only downside is that a few times we've visited, they ran out of chicken and tortillas before closing. Yummy food, great service. I would just say check your orders before you leave. They mixed up mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese. But we love both, so we were okay with it.
