We popped in for lunch with some friendsThere was one waitress, who didn't speak great English but tried very hard to understand exactly what we needed. She worked extremely hard and we didn't have to wait long for service, even though there were 20 of us Lunch was a salad for starter and steak frites. Everything was delicious!! The steak was perfectly cooked and the salad was beautiful and fresh The setting of the restuarant was lovely on a hot summers day and there is no better place to enjoy a nice cold beer and some delicious foodIf i go backj to Leysin i will go back for lunch here
We ate lunch at Le Leysin and had a delicious lunch. We ordered the daily special menu which is 2 courses for 18chf (an amazing price in Switzerland). The starter was a Greek salad and the main was a delicious steak with potatoes and vegetables. The food was delicious and the service very prompt. The ambience was lovely.Recommend to come for the lunch special during weekdays as its the best deal. The rest of the menu is typical Swiss prices (expensive). The food is delicious!
We visited this cosy restaurant last week, twice... We had the 'filet de boef au pinot noir' and my daughter fond it the best steak she ever had. Perfectly grilled on a open fire by the lady of the house. the red wine sauce was super. As dessert we had the baked pineapple with ice-cream and warm black pepper... one of the best desserts i have ever had. The whole experience was so good, we came back at the end of or holliday to eat the same.
Lunch in the alps and one wouldn't think to find food bordering on the gourmet, but such was the case during a recent lunch in Leysin. There is a new owner, attentive, and the food was delicious: I had something that usually only appears on the menu of city restaurant, foie gras lightly fried. Wonderful atmosphere given assistance by the smell of the open wood-burning fire upon which steaks are prepared. The menu is extensive and consists of various traditional dishes of the region, along with a wider French cuisine. We had several courses, all of which were excellent, and service was provided by an amiable and helpful waitress. Probably the best restaurant in the village.
Wir waren nur einen Tag lang in Leysin wandern und sahen plötzlich dieses Restaurant mit einer sehr interessanten Speisekarte. Wir haben sehr gut gegessen, die Bedienung war sehr schnell und sympathisch. Das Tagesgericht war sehr gut zubereitet und nicht teuer. The restaurant lodged in an old Swiss farm/chalet has an impressive interior, and the menu is not to be forgotten. The Beef Rib grilled on wooden charcoal is a delight. Good food, nice atmosphere and exquisite service. Great fondue too!!! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Nice meals shared with Asian friends. In order to let them try different specialties they have been kind to split the plates. Food was very good, great service and very nice atmosphere for reasonable prices.
