Visited here a few times when I was on hols with my partner in Schierke, central Deutschland. The place is a Spanish/Med restaurant in Wernigerode village with a nice cosy interior, log fire, water feature and all wooden/stone walls, plants and beautifully tiled flooring, in fact, you'd be forgiven for thinking you were in a designer cave, one can almost forget there is a planet Earth outside it's so encapsulating. The food is absolutely impeccable if be it for the rather small portions as the prices, are rather up there for what you get. However, everything is really fresh and bursting with flavour. Das war so schlecht! Wir bestellten zwei Limonaden, die der Kellner brachte drei und meinte, das sei das, was wir bestellt hätten. Er zündete die Kerzen nicht an. Das Besteck wurde in einem Stapel auf den Tisch geworfen. Meine Kinder leerten eine Tüte aus, so die Nuggets. Die Suppe war zu stark und komplett flach, als ob sie aus Bouillon gemacht worden wäre. Die Pasta mit Garnelen war genauso schlecht. Trockene Nudelteile und halbtrockene Tomaten direkt aus der Schüssel. Wieder nicht brauchbar. Das Steak war nicht nach meinem Geschmack gegrillt. Die Pfeffersauce war nicht gut, wahrscheinlich aus Essenz und ohne Konsistenz. Sie wurde über das Steak gegossen. Schlechte Kartoffeln. Alles in all...
we just walked in, got a nice table in this really nicely decorated restaurant. The waitress warned us that the wait for food could be 45 minutes. We decided to stay. Starter, main and dessert were great, wait was shorter than expected and we enjoyed our stay very much. Staff was very attentive and friendly. A poster outside showed open positions here.. We feel over-employment in Germany. too few people to get all the work done.. Kudos to the staff and kitchen!
Good food (vegan, veggie, gluten-free no problem) in Mediterranean style. Service a little overworked, but super friendly to wait a little. We're coming back!
