I smiled a big smile when we drove through Andon today to see Chichoun open and marvel at local trade. The employees are lovable and totally acceptable to small people; our toddler is happy to play with her toy stock during lunch. My wife and I enjoyed a hearty tartiflette, which was served in a generous relationship and a few glasses of good house wine. The place feels untouched by modern society, it feels old, but in a domestic and charming way, it is a little taste of old France, the France, that is so difficult to find in these days. Our lunch, which will be full for several days, costs only € 54 excellent value. A must if you're in the area.
Chez Chichoun is visited by locals, which says a lot (good) about the kitchen. My favorite lunch dish is the daily special of chef who will have about 5 different items: a generous portion of quiche, a few slices of prosciutto type ham, une colorcie, maybe a small side of tabouleh, salad, cheese, etc. The plate changes with the seasons, but is always delicious. Oh and the service is very friendly!
At the chichoun small hot restaurant where it tastes good small varied dishes, a small luminous moment like the smile of the owner of the place, at the service of energy, without forgetting the chef in all modesty, behind his stoves, occupied ....
Had a nice lunch on the terrace including Aïoli and a delicious Charolais tart. They take care of their food and the staff is lovely and caring. They were also great with the kids. Very recommended.
