there was (past tense) one of my regular venues every summer, but had to skip a great amount of time between two curses thought they would simply forget about us. the first dish was otopus potatoes. I thought I'd ripe a piece. I'm angry because we were gone in this phase, but somehow polite. while we waited, the sunshade almost fell on my wife because he was not properly anchored to the floor. have they been talking? second plate was pork (no salt at all) and a sort of Sicilian ratatouille full of sugar. was it home? I'm just dunno, so I'm not gonna stay. so we have jumped over and fled: never go there again, whatever.
We've eaten here several times on various visits to Cucuron and it never disappoints. Limited menu but well prepared food using local ingredients, although veg lacks variety and could be a bit warmer. Service is quick, perhaps a little too quick, and the staff make little attempt to help those who don't speak French. Booking essential at busy periods, especially if you want a table next to l'etang. Special mention for the chocolate and caramel tart.
This was the best French food we've had since the beginning of 2017 here in France. We had plat du jour for lunch and it was all delicious. We were there when the market was there too. We are fans of the movie the Good Year, and the pond next to the restaurant (l'etang ) is one of the locations.
Lunch by l'Étang in picturesque Cucuron on a warm, sunny day, under the wonderful plane trees, takes some beating. The food was excellent, the service was efficient, and the price was reasonable.My wife and I last visited two years ago, since when there's been a noticeable improvement.

Beautiful setting on the edge of the pond!! Excellent meal a wonderfully well cooked lamb mouse!! A small palowla dessert for the touch of softness.Thanks for this treat. Friendly and attentive staff.. I recommend this restaurant.
location discovered by chance by wandering in the village. very friendly and convenient staff. Good choice of beers! pleasant and lively place during the summer evenings think to book.
