The restaurant in our hotel was closed, as was the rest of the village. leaving this as our only option. However, it was no poor choice. The menu was large and varied, with well-written English descriptions. I personally recommend the "Elephant's ear" pork steak which is the size of a dinner plate, served with many mini mountains of salad and pickled vegetables. Delicious and in relation to prices around pretty well priced.
This place was easy to find, just look for the crowded lot. Parking was easy and it's located right on the main intersection between susten and grimsel pass roads. We were there for lunch and everything was great. Service, selection, and quality were awesome.

Nach der MotoGP-Runde in Mugello sind wir auf dem Bauernhof und Gasthaus von Italien in die Schweiz gestolpert. Eine tolle Übernachtungsmöglichkeit mit gutem Essen und einem tollen Blick (zumindest aus unserem Zimmer).
A well-located comfortable spot with clean rooms. Breakfast was included. The bathroom is communal and is down the hall. The 3 showers are also in a separate room but despite this minor inconvenience, I'll come back!
Sauber und gemütliches Restaurant mit guter Speisekarte. Sie sprechen viele Sprachen. Ich habe meinen Aufenthalt hier wirklich genossen. Einige Bewertungen erwähnten Fliegen, aber ich habe keine gesehen.
Dieser Ort wurde immer am Ende oder am Anfang unserer Roadtrips genannt. Das Essen war in Ordnung, aber nichts Besonderes und der Service war gut, aber auch nichts Besonderes.

The location at the center of town provides a nice view of the activity in the city. Many motorcycle groups stopped by and the food was hearty and typical for that region.
