We arrived 7pm, just at opening, and we was the first guests this evening.With full attention we where guided through the menu and was assisted with the wine options.I started with a sweetbread and languster salad. Rich and beautiful. My wife had a terrine of sardines and vegetables, she thought it was creative and very tasty.Then I had the chicken with a Muriel sauce. Creamy and very good. My wife had trout with assorted cooked vegetables, best meal this summer.The final dessert was perfect - cream brûlée, chocolate and caramel ice cream.Don't miss this place when you are in Beaune/Pommard/MeursaultCKscoreFood (1-20): 17Service (1-5): 4,5
We walked from the center of Meursault down a small hill to the restaurant where we dined in a courtyard. The food was quite good except for the steak which was uninspired. The Pommard wine was very good. There was one element that was spell-breaking....The chef, who seemed quite nice, helped by bringing the various courses to the tables in the courtyard. His apron, unfortunately, was dirty and stained which really detracted from the ambiance. Hopefully, it was a one-night aberration. Restaurant guests deserve better.
Ate here on our first evening in Meursault. The walk from the centre is lovely and adds to the pleasure of going. We both chose the set menu and it didn't disappoint at all. A really fresh and light feel to all courses. Information...about the wines was welcome and delivered in an informative and friendly way. We were very happy with both choices. The outdoor area adds to the relaxing and enjoyable evening.
Due to a mix up with the timing of our reservation we were over an hour late and despite this the team could not have been kinder or more accommodating. The food itself was simple, french and delicious. The fillet steak was a particular...highlight with the most fantastic cut of meat. Highly recommended!
what an amazing surprise. the restaurant is managed by a beautiful couple (Japanese and French) eating is French with a hauch of Japanese. so good and so fresh. we have come to lunch twice and plan to come back. excellent food and service....Locals also come here to eat. no tourist trap. excellent.
From the first moments, it was a great experience with a warm and genuine welcome. The daily menu was fantastic value - and delicious - and the wine list is superb.They have just taken over this small restaurant, and they've transformed it into one of the best places in the region.
Recently opened, nice shaded terrace. The cook prepares excellent and delicious Burgundian meals, and his wife is an excellent host who takes really good care of her guests. This place is worth a detour.
We had dinner here last year and again this year. Excellent food with clear Japanese influence, very well done! Relaxed atmosphere, very good wine list, love the hostess.
We had a great lunch here. The service was great and the food was good. The terrace was also pleasant since it's covered by the leaves of the trees.
