We had a family supper here enjoying well priced local wine and some nice food. We had excellent starters and my daughter and husband seemed to enjoy their fondue and I had a nice chicken dish with good flavours, the only teeny criticism being that...it was just a smidge over cooked. Our server was very friendly and helpful even though he had 4 tables in all at the same time and was trying to juggle all of us and there was a big party of 16 there also putting in their order. The kitchen, which can't have been very big still managed to cope. Very relaxed and nice place to wile away an evening.
the restaurant was very courteous and offers a very friendly service. we were a group of 10 and managed to get a table on a Saturday night there. they have a great wine card. we have a beautiful bottle of red. I've tried the white wine with basil aroma, but it's too sweet for me. for the main course I had a chicken-hodden, which was very well cooked. it is very well located. directly at the bellevuelift.
A very traditional French dining experience - from piping hot french onion soup , through to the cheese fondue - no room for a dessert unfortunately. Service was generally attentive, pleasant and helpful. As for the fondue , after the first twelve bits of bread dipped in molten cheese , it became a bit repetitive - there is only so many ways to put bread on a fork and dip it in the cheese vat.
Jerome runs this restaurant like clockwork. The evening we dropped in he was Chef and front of house, and amazingly the service was spot on.The menu is limited but the dishes are well chosen and cooked to perfection. came here for our Valentine's Day meal, the restaurant is small with a warm and cozy atmosphere. the personal was friendly and attentive. we enjoyed their local white wine that was infused with basilikum. we chose the set menu that was good, although limited options....you also do some vegetarian options in the normal menu that is good to see.
We were a party of 7 and made our booking at the last minute. Staff were welcoming and took the time to answer our questions about their menu. Food was very nice and good portion size for average eaters. We tried the basilic wine in aperitif and "la Grole" in dessert which was a fun experience. Overall good quality food and good service.
Faced the challenge of getting the last night of holiday restaurant selection to be memorable. Checked all the on line reviews beforehand. Courses all reasonable but none of group thought any course stood out. Wine disappointing. Overall average rather than good but a significant bill. Staff pleasant.
Well I always wondered what a cheese fondue would be like. Now I know. The first couple of mouthfuls were very tasty but then cheese OD set in. Fortunately the restaurant recommends ham and salad to go with it. Well now I know. Great if you like lots of cheese. Oh and the starters were great. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
We liked this so much we ate there two nights running - good choice of well cooked food. Portions are not enormous, which leaves room for dessert! Helpful with identifying gluten-free options - still had a good choice.
