OK. Usually I do not comment on places where we had a good experience which is normal when you pay a hundred bucks for it. But it is so difficult in morbihan to find a place that simply agree to just consider your call and let you make a reservation so I make an exception. I do not know why the low rated comments. Noted that most of them are a couple of years ago. I assume that they improved since this is not the case anymore even if I agree the place is crowded and you could feel a bit uncomfortable. Saw the lobster sign today and gave it a try. It was awesome. A lovely table at the window and very friendly service indeed. The lobster was presented to me at the table homard rôti and was cooked to perfection. It came with a creamy sauce and oven vegetables which were tasty. Also some mashed potatos. Which I didn't need. Washed it down with a nice Rosé de Provence. Initually I then was in a hurry to get the little train for a ride through Etel. But was told that it was not available. So i had time for dessert. I really was not impressed and the worst was the brown lettuce on the plates! When we asked if this was a special salad (we didnt want to make it sound like we were complaining) the waiter/owner said it was hot in the kitchen. We had an appetizer and two burgers. Both were okay but really nothing to rave about. The appetizer was small not really value for money. I am mainly writing this review to warn other people that the high marks are not always correct.

The staff worked so hard, and many times they had to turn people away. We were glad we arrived just after 12 noon on the Sunday. The menu was varied, and we ended up being very happy with the 'menu ' it was delicious and despite the busy restaurant, there was no delay in getting the food out.

It is in this bar that was signed a peace treaty in between the Germans and the French at the end of the second world war. Other than that, it has got good food and drinks.
