If you're driving to/from Italy (via Mont Blanc) or Switzerland (Geneva) and are fed up with motorway stops, Nantua makes an easy and pleasant detour as you can come off one exit and re-join at the next passing alongside the lake in the process. Le Bistro is very conveniently located on the road facing the water, with plenty of parking in front if you'd like a spot of lunch. There is a short but appetising menu with a buffet offering at midday mid-week for euros 10.60 (it's hidden away under the entrees) if you want something quick and tasty. nous nous sommes rabattus sur ce restaurant car celui de notre choix était fermé.L'accueil un peu bizarre car on a fait comme si tout était réservé et que l'on nous faisait une fleur en nous acceptant alors que la terrasse ne s'est jamais remplie.Le plat de quenelles était correct, celui du gratin de queues d’écrevisses était bien, l'accompagnement correct également. le vin blanc, mâcon village excellent. Les desserts peu convainquant pour le nougat glacé (industrie alimentaire), et pitoyable pour les profiteroles (pâte a chou en plastique). comme écrit dans le titre: par defaut
On y mange très bien. Nous y sommes venus plusieurs fois et nous en sommes toujours ressorti ravis. Nous sommes de Bourg en Bresse mais nous n'hésitons pas à faire 50 km pour venir y déjeuner, en bordure du lac. Et en plus, leur tiramisu maison est excellent !!!
Bien mangé mais l'addition est bien trop salée pour la qualité des mets et du service vis à vis du prix.Le service n'est pas à la hauteur et l'attente tristement longue ne donne pas envie de revenir.Passez votre chemin et allez ailleurs. Bonne appétit.
