During our walk through Duingt 2 weeks ago just prior to mid-day we stopped in here for some refreshing drinks and a snack if possible. The place was completely empty apart from another couple having drinks. We would have liked to have sat under the...shade as it was a really hot day but was advised if we just wanted drinks we would have to sit on the terrace in the full sun. I can understand the patio area being kept for diners only, fair enough, however the waitress was sour, unwelcoming with no people skills. We felt like walking out then. We booked for lunch, and as we arrived we were greeted by an aggressive woman possibly manager/ owner) shouting at us because she didn’t like where we parked our bikes ! Everyone cycles around Annecy and most places have bike racks but not here! In the restaurant there was no warm welcome. The service was very unprofessional courses arriving before cutlery; being asked if we wanted dessert while still waiting for our main course). Lunch was no better than acceptable and quite expensive. The view is magnificent but if you want exceptional food, a warm welcome with the magnificent view I would advise you to try Clos Marcel, also in Duingt. We have eaten at Le Roselet several times in past year...
We stayed at this restaurant on a sunny Thursday afternoon during our bike tour on the lake. It was a bit before 2:00, but we were kindly welcomed, and a table at the water was prepared for us. We are not sure, but we have the impression that the restaurant/hotel was run by a father, mother and daughter. All three are equally friendly and attentive. As an appetizer I had twelve escargots in Persillade, and my partner enjoyed homemade duck foie grass cooked in nature and its red wine gels. The Sea Bass Filet and its Nantes butter were buttery soft and great on taste. In short, we enjoyed a wonderful lunch in a beautiful place at the lake.

A magnificent view of the lake from the front part of the terrace. Lovely. The friendly personnel served us soon and we enjoyed a niçoise salad for me and escargots followed by a friture of small local fish for my companion. The dogs got their bowl of water. The restaurant was by no means chic but locals and tourists come there, which is always a good sign.

The entire team of waiters seemed inappropriate to wear their masks. One guy wore it on his chin, all the others just on her mouth. The view was beautiful, however, and the fish, although overpriced and prepared without creativity, was fresy enough. The tomato mozzarella...table was really above average.
It was a hot day and we needed to take some fluids on board. This place was fine as we took drinks on their terrace beside the lake. But could not extrapolate to a view on food
Excellent reception and excellent meals. The background and the form gathered. I recommend this establishment with closed eyes
