We arrived well in advance of our Gouffre de Padirac prebooked ticket time so decided to find some lunch.We were probably pre-warned what to expect by the numerous laminated menus which showed photos of the meals - fine if you were hungry but nothing especially tempting. The staff, however, were friendly and hard-working. Uninspired by the menu (mostly served with fries), two of our party elected not to eat at all, settling for a soft drink (they are very overpriced). The rest of us ordered main meals and they were OK but nothing to rave about. This was such a contrast to all of our other meals this holiday that it came as quite a shock. The prices were significantly higher than we paid for...
Terrible service, fat food, many dirty tables with flies everywhere. When asked, the manager had to say the gall “the pictures are not contractual” and tried to force us to pay for a court that had nothing to do with it was in his description....Preposterous! Had to really come into a real powerful argument and invite them to call the police. Because of a plate we returned. Never seen such arrogant manager before. Don't let yourself be a stupid tourist and just avoid it!
We arrived at 12:20 and asked to serve quickly. Jenny (I believe! was fast and efficient, hit some suitable dishes according to our request. We were completely satisfied to the point that later this day, we went back to relax something... and enjoyed some coffee and ice cream. Thanks to the hard-working staff present on this day of 10/06/21; we were great!
I was not expecting much if anything from a restaurant catering to tourist crowds visiting the Cave, but my lunch was incredible. Perfectly prepared fresh trout, fresh salad and fries. I wish I could return!
Probably the worst place I have visited in France..........ever. The service was non existing and the food tasteless. Definitely not worth a visit.
Went there Foa chicken sandwich (plain) No mayo no lettuce please, and onion ring and a strawberry banana smoothie and the sandwich was terrible.
Nothing special to say about it. I took the waffle with cerise jam and my father the ice cream, and they were both good. Closed in the evening.
We stopped there while waiting for our time-slot at the Gouffre de Padirac. The Ice-cream were good and the staff polite.
I visited this location on Aug19, 2016 with my 91 year old aunt because she likes it and it is near her home.
