The Lido is located on the opposite side of most of the hotels and restaurants in Gerardmer. Thus it's more quiet and less crowded than the other beaches and restaurants around the lake. That's why we went there. But! I have never ever in my...life experienced a staff as unfriendly as the one of the Lido in Gerardmer. But when you get to know the owner or maybe it was just the manager in charge, you know why! They have a nice beach with sunloungers to rent. That's what we wanted to do. But since no one of the team was available we settled on two sunloungers that weren't reserved and waited for someone of the staff to pay the rent for a day. Two hours nothing happened. We tried to get a dinner table in a few restaurants closer to our hotel and found a fully booked Gérardmer on Saturday night (23.01.16). Luckily, Ingrid from A la Chaume de mon Père , suggested we tried out the Lido and all that I can...say to her is thank you and God bless. The Lido has a wonderful menu du marché which allowed us to taste a variety fresh and wonderfully prepared food. The different meals were very good, particularly the main dishes and the desserts. Also I would like to leave a word of appreciation to the persons taking care of us that evening as they were very friendly, smiling and attentive.
Nice plates, local food prepare with fresh products. Really worth to try the bistrononique menu for lunch may be too much for dinner. You need to make a reservation first to enjoy the nice view on the lake. Really enjoyable meal and pleasant service...too
eating is good together with the place, but the behavior of the host from the owners to the waiters is really bad. the mandant is not far from it. try to avoid them if they can, they don't earn their time and...money, others place around the corner do!

Amazing place next to the lake Lovely landscape and food is excellent, staff very kind and helpful. We did not book the table but they managed to find us a great table outside. I recommend 100
Great spot to sit and enjoy a meal as the sun sets over the lake, right down on the shore. Creative chef, with a vegetarian menu option, though not the cheapest.
the best restaurant in the environment, refined, really expensive, innovatiw, but without excess, good wine list, nice staff, stunning views of the lake.
don't go there. terrible service and unfriendly personal what a cannon for such a beautiful location. not all guests are welcome
