Service was decent and good choice of foods which were typical quality for this type of mountain restaurant. Certainly tasty and nicely presented but not gourmet. Take a table close to the railings though and you have a panoramic view across to - in my opinion - is one of the most beautiful Alpine views you will have. The restaurant is about a 50 meter walk up a steepish path from the mountain railway and this is a high altitude restaurant (well over 2000 meters). We went with my parents who are in their eighties and they just took plenty of stops on the way up (there are seats). They took the train all the way up and down. Die Aussicht vom Restaurant (innen und außen) ist unglaublich. Je nachdem, wo man sitzt, kann man den Brienzersee, den Eiger, den Mönch und die Jungfrau (und vieles mehr) oder Sörenberg, Pilatus und die Schrattenfluh (und vieles mehr) sehen. Wenn Sie drinnen sitzen, stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie einen Tisch am Fenster haben. Bezüglich der Speisekarte haben sie eine gute Auswahl an verschiedenen Gerichten (traditionell, Burger, Suppen, Salate) frisch zubereitet. Da alles per Dampf oder Seilbahn geliefert werden muss, ist es beeindruckend, wie frisch und lecker alles ist.
Dass eine Reservierung verloren geht, ist okay. Wie ein Restaurant mit der Situation umgeht, das ist die Frage. Das Rothorn Kulm hat es wirklich schlecht gehandhabt: lange Wartezeiten, verwirrende Informationen, es tut mir leid. Die Gäste wurden von einem Ort zum anderen geschoben. Ich denke, es ist okay als Tagesgast. Wenn sie eine Veranstaltung planen, wäre ich vorsichtig, rufen Sie sie noch einmal an und lassen Sie die Reservierung bestätigen.
We only had enough time to go up on one train and down on the next one, so slipped in for a quick coffee and a warm. And what a view! We felt we were on the top of the world, with breathtaking views of startlingly beautiful mountain peaks above the fog and the clouds.Come here and enjoy a wonderful coffee from friendly and attentive staff - we did!

First of all: the view from the terrace and also most of the windows inside is amazing. The menue is what you usually get at this sort of place: Röste, Älpler Maggronen etc. The prices are not too bad considering the location. I thought the food was very average, nothing to shout about. The service was friendly and efficient.
Nachteile: Viele Passanten - nicht für Intime. Ich habe den Ort besucht... Ich habe die Einrichtungen dort genutzt (siehe meine Fotos von dieser Erfahrung). Der Service und das Essen schienen angemessen. Ich bin mir sicher, dass es eine schöne Erfahrung ist, hier auf dem Gipfel des Berges zu essen, also einfach machen.
The food was good and service was average. At the top of this mountain, don't expect too much from this restaurant. If it is sunny, try to sit outside. Too bad the day I was there, it was raining heavily. Price is fair at this location. The hot chocolate was like ovaltine...I wish it was real chocolate!
Hatte die besten Spaghetti Bolognese der Schweiz. Wir waren uns sicher, dass wir, wie in jedem Touristenrestaurant, ein sehr teures und mittelmäßiges Essen bekommen würden, aber das war eine Überraschung. Sogar der Kuchen und das Kindereis waren gut.

Had sausage with fries and my favorite beer Eichhof. Food was alright, fries were little salty, service was not bad. The Killer view forgives everything.
On a clear day we can see Jungfrau from the restaurant. Nice place to enjoy the view. Food was ok nothing special. Expensive. Ambience was good.
