I have been here for a Sunday special brunch. The environment inside was good. It was pretty crowded, and we had to wait 15 minutes to get a table. They did not give us enough attention; and the reason could be, we were the underdressed one compared to the crowd ! well, that’s my personal thought , or we were the only international ! who knows! . We ordered chicken meat loaf and southern omelette. Both were pretty mediocre. The cheesy grit one of the sides was good though. The orange juice was not freshly squeezed one. The coffee was good, but there was no cream and sugar on the table. I had to ask for it. However, they forgot to provide a stirrer. The waiter girl was sweet and tried her bes...
We had some business to handle in Starkville today and wanted to try some place we have never tried before who would hopefully serve some good comfort food......this place was IT!!! Our server Bailey was super friendly and very helpful when she took our order. The food was finger licking good. I had the fried chicken with the crawfish sauce on the side. I don't know what is in that crawfish sauce but OMG it just adds something extra to the chicken. The mac and cheese was awesome too. Its hard to find good mac and cheese from a restaurant. Waitress was great, kitchen was slow, it was Sunday and it was busy. I had the chicken and waffle, the chicken was fantastic, the waffle was like a large frozen Eggo waffle, not a Belgian waffle. Very disappointing as I love Belgian waffles. It was even cold so it wouldn't melt the pecan butter. Fresh fruit was two small cubes of cantelope and one even smaller cube of pineapple. My son's potato hash was supposed to have steak fries, it had tater tots instead (like frozen tater tots). Loved the atmosphere of the place but don't know if we'll go back.
So far my favorite restaurant in Starkville. I've been several times and the service has always been great, and quick. Last night my husband and I got the crawfish dip as an appetizer and it was delicious. You should package the chips and sell them in the store. I got jambalaya pasta as my entree and it was spicy, and flavorful. My husband also loved his steak! Thanks for a great dinner! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Will definitely return. We started with the okra appetizer which was a hit. Our meals were guilty pleasures this visit, and we were not disappointed. (shrimp and grits, pork belly pasta, and fried chicken with Mac cheese). We were welcomed at the door with great service throughout.
Heard a good brunch could be had at restaurant Tyler but did not expect the decadent food reminiscent of New Orleans. Our server recommended the river biscuit with extra sauce. It was amazing! The tomato gorgonzola soup was both substantial and delicious.
Wonderful experience! The food was amazing and great service. You have to try the catfish rolls. So delicious. Never had anything like it. Going back again on my next trip to Starksville.
