Restaurant Villa Ephrussi de Rotschild

Small menu, but food absolutely fantastic. Have the black rice salad - out of this world. We all thought the desserts were absolutely outstanding too.A fabulous setting with a breath taking sea view.Such a shame the service was slow, with main courses arriving at different times and a ridiculous wait to pay the bill.Gardens were excellent despite it being very hot. Overall an excellent high quality meal supported by very average service. But I'd go back because the standard of the food was so high. Not cheap.

We visited the Ephrussi Rothschild gardens on a warm sunny day. That is why we chose to have lunch inside rather than outside. We did not regret this choice. The restaurant offers breathtaking views over the bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer. The menu is quite restricted, but we much enjoyed our choice of a well garnished salad with smoked salmon followed with elegant pastry for dessert. In view of the first class location we did not think that the dishes were overpriced.

To eat (lunch) in the garden of the Rothschild villa (now owned by the state) on a sunny day having meandered around the sensational gardens is a total delight. True, the menu is a bit restricted but the salads are quite delcious and not overpriced bearing in mind the environment in which they are served overlooking the bay of Villefranche-sur-mer. It is the only restaurant I have been in where the only fault I could think of was too much smoked salmon.

My table for one was overlooking the coastline towards Nice, which was a fabulous view to see having lunch. The restaurant serves a range of amazing salads and patisseries. I spent a few hours sitting in the sunshine and it's a great, relaxing place to eat lunch and take a break from walking around the grounds of the villa.

very interesting place that radiates the old glamour and the old times. there are wonderful gardens also lookout is amazing. I was at a private party and I can not evaluate the service of the restaurant and the quality of the foods of the regular offer....We have a high quality dinner with excellent dessert.

very nice restaurant. the melingue dessert was delicious, although it was not made fresh for me and was in a tablet. the minzedrink was the most lively drink I ever had. I thought I'd drink toothpaste flavor, almost like mouthwater, but more. after a couple of forcedseen.

The location of this small cafe is beautiful, especially if you decided to seat outside in the garden of the palace.We tried one tuna and egg salad, one foie gras salad and two pastries. Everything was excellent but very expensive, as expected in such an environment!

we remember the first place of stylish dining place. one of the most beautiful places to have a lunch with a spectacular view of the garden. the food was not in relation to the room and the garden. eating was simple and rather expensive. friendly service.

I was fortunate to be part of a large group that had a private booking for dinner at the beautiful Villa Ephrussi. The grounds are beautiful, the mansion itself elegant and the food and service was outstanding. What a treat.

We explored the gardens and had lunch before touring the villa. The menu is not large but the food was excellent. Given the location the prices are higher.
