This is truly a local neighborhood restaurant. Without knowing a word of Portuguese, and without them knowing a word of English, this could have been challenging. With the help our waiter (and google translate), we had a fun experience. He was patient and helpful. Linguica and mushrooms for starters, followed by pretty good steak (bife) and veal (vitella). The veal was tender, almost like a sauerbraten and the steak was more than I could finish. All in all, very reasonable, relaxed atmosphere and local, local, local.
A smallish restaurant screened off from the bar area. Basic Portuguese home cooking. We enjoyed the grilled squid and boiled octopus also grilled corvina and Cabrito goat . All were served with lightly cooked broccoli, spinach purée, chips, smashed potatoes in butter delicious and rice.
