What a find this was. It was located near our hotel, plenty of people were dining on the terrace, so we gave it a try. Hubby and I had the salmon with maracuya sauce (a local fruit, similar to apricot), and it was cooked to perfection. Having lived in Seattle for many years, I know good salmon, and this was some of the best I've eaten. The serving was generous, and came accompanied with fresh roasted veggies and creamy mashed taters. Two entrees and two nice glasses of wine was 40 bucks (tip included). If seafood isn't your thing, they have an impressive menu of regional dishes, as well as meats. Ask about their monthly fixed-price meal, which is a bargain for 15 bucks, which includes a glas...
Restaurant La Matriarca The female matriarch is a large restaurant serving a variety of local Colombian dishes. The place has a bar atmosphere and carries a funny and bright hearty vibe. It is creatively decorated by throwing together a number of antiques, fresh flowers, bicycles and other funky decor. Our waiter was called Santiago and he was helpful, professional and cheerful. The food has big portions and is hard and good. We have paid with the credit card that also includes a tip “servicio”. Guests need to make sure and ask for it. Mixed drinks were good, but it can not be the best wine place house wines are moderate.
Estuvimos super bien atendidas (todo el personal, sin excepción: atentos, colaboradores, oportunos y respetuosos), la comida y las sangrías excelentes, tienen ambientes diferentes, bonitos y acogedores .... Pero definitivamente la experiencia la hicieron única por los detalles y los cuidados tan esmerados en la atención. A todo el equipo La Matriarca muchas gracias y felicitaciones por su excelencia!!

Excellent food. Warm and special environment... perfect for family and friends. We really had a great moment there. Service was excellent and staff treated us very well and made us feel in family. We highly recommend this place. :-)
I really amazing experience. We had so much fun. The whole experience was wonderful. The service and the food were excellent. But my favorite part was entertainment and cocktails. I highly recommend it. I can't wait to go back.
Food and drinks were also quite good and service! Only complaint is that the court I ordered was dry. Other than that would definitely come back! Try her Colombian soda, it is passion fruit and very decorated
