My advice to the restaurant would be to not offer dishes that they are not able to make properly. The Thai chicken wrap that our hostess recommended was described as "really delicious," but it was actually a failure in fusion cuisine. It contained breaded chicken fingers, cheese, and bacon - ingredients that do not belong in a Thai wrap. The sauce was slightly sweet and barely spicy, and the dish was more of a panini than a wrap. On a positive note, the chicken wings and onion rings were good, but the homemade chips and fries were average. The spaghetti was overly seasoned with oregano, making it bitter. The coleslaw was average. The food was freshly made and presented nicely in baskets, but...
I had always wanted to have a meal at this restaurant while out on my motorcycle, but I was always too busy. Finally, I was able to stop by on a Sunday morning ride to Oka. The server was friendly, pleasant, and efficient. We visited during the transition from breakfast to lunch. Both my companion and I had the Tomato and cream soup, which was delicious, and we shared the club sandwich platter, which was also very tasty. I had read some reviews mentioning soggy fries, but ours were hot, crispy, and delicious. The club sandwich was fantastic, served with coleslaw and a large pickle slice. Excellent job Resto De La Traverse; we will definitely be back soon!
We were in the region and decided to try Resto La Traverse. The Restaurant is located almost near the water and offers a nice view if you sit outside. When we arrived it was full due to a beautiful sunny day but we were seated in less than 10 minutes. The waitress was friendly but the service was super slow due to being packed. We tried the Grilled Chicken Submarine (good) and La traverse Sandwich with chicken, cheese and bacon (very good). It was our first time there and we enjoyed it overall.
The restaurant's terrace offers stunning views. The food is delicious and the friendly waitstaff are very attentive. The only downside was that the menu was in French, but the waitress kindly offered to translate.
