Reverie’s one of the most underrated restaurants in DC right now, and I regret not coming here sooner. I had the 16-course chef’s counter menu, which was all-around excellent and inventive.I especially enjoyed the seafood courses: the tuna, razor clam, scallop, and skate dishes were delicate yet complex in flavor and beautiful in presentation.Any restaurant with 4 courses of dessert will win my heart. Amazing amazing 1 Michelin star restaurant. I want to say out of all the dishes, only 1 was not amazing. Everything else was superb and that's surprising. Usually you have a couple that are ok or average and some that are amazing. Servers were very attentive and the chef himself came out to describe some of the dishes. It's very refreshing to see the chef/owner actually cooking and not just on the pass. Only negative was the parking but that's to be expected of DC. Definitely will be coming back. This place is delicious. My only complaint is online I could only select the preclude menu (smaller) and I would have selected the full menu if given the opportunity. I was not asked to even confirm if I wanted that menu like I was about my drink choice that I preselected. I loved the non alcoholic pairing as it was unique and delicious. I especially loved the omija spritz as each sip was different. My favorite food was the heirloom tomatoes. I hope to come back experience another seasonal menu.
What an incredible dining experience! The menu is upscale and inventive, with impeccable presentation and outstanding service. The Reverie truly deserves a star, but the friendly and unpredictable nature of the chef and staff adds to the charm. We will definitely be returning!
Unique, innovative, and unexpected with fantastic service. This is one of our regular spots to hit. Usually seafood heavy with some pork or duck mixed in. A can’t miss in DC for people who love food!!
