I never write reviews normally ..... Mainly because I can't be bothered but having just got back from Rice n Peas I'm particularly irritated. When this place first opened me and my partner tried it as we really love Caribbean food. The service was good, nothing special, but the food was not good. Over a year later I decided to give it a go again but this time I decided to order something small, just incase. I ordered half boiled rice half chips and curried sauce and a dumplin. When I got home I was not impressed. The rice was rice and peas, I don't like kidney beans, and it was hard as though it hard been there awhile. The sauce was bland and little of it, there was plenty of burnt goat meat...
It's not like the Jamaicans you go and it's the chicken coated with a sauce, the food is marinated how it should be... I thought I'd comment being a regular, being Jamaican myself I appreciate good Jamaican takeaways when I find them (shame I don't know how to cook it.. Cheap prices from 4.50 for a small, and 5.50 for a large all including rice and peas, whereas others can be expensive.. or chain run like turtle bay.. this seems to be a family run place, with great customer service eat in or takeaway..
I have just returned home after ordering from this very friendly and quick takeaway service. Food tastes as the gentleman said it would. It was very delicious and my whole family enjoyed their evening meal. The gentleman advised well on first time triers of this type of food cuisine. I would advise anyone to give this takeaway a try! Me and my family will certainly try it again.

Can't get enough of this place, big menu to choose from and it definitely fills the spot. Top staff and well priced! Definitely recommend to everyone. I could eat here seven days a week
Curry goat love the place nice vibe and it's nice inside put some effort in go down with your mates sit round the table and the guy can't do enough for you
Quick bite... What rhymes with bite?? Absolute Sh... . Ordered curried goat after a few lagers. Biggest pile of goat bite I've ever tasted.
