Must say this is an absolute stunning location but the food could rise above the shore line .. I had the twice cooked duck with "grains" and I'm lost as to what value they added to the meal . Unless someone here is involved in the dental industry . Couldn't taste the plum & the gravy didn't suit the meal but would have suited a chicken dinner ...At $50 its a tad too expensive.Two of our group had the BBQ king prawn and was s little remiss of the wait staff to give them a extreme chilli warning .. One dish not eaten ... It's very noisy & you struggle with an open non shouting conversation but hey I'm probably olde and grumpy. Rick Shores, 43 Goodwin Tce, Burleigh Heads 4220, (07) 5630 6611 is diagonally opposite The Fishhouse. This ‘open plan’ restaurant, with its variety of seating styles, overlooks the waves breaking on the beach immediately in front of it. At night the waves are lit by spotlights which provide an attractive background. The building in which it is located on the lower level has no external signage indicating its existence. However, it is easily found by walking down the stairs where you will find its imaginative Asian-Fusion menu ranging from snack size tastes to formidable main courses suitable for sharing. It has an ample drinks list and there are banquet options available at lunch time ($60)...
Recently dined here for my Birthday. Had the set menu with wine pairings. Absolutely fabulous, we enjoyed our dining experience immensely. Maxim , our waiter, was informative without being intrusive thank you for your service. The food was lovely. One exception the banana blossom salad... was a real disappointment. Quite tasteless and didn’t deliver the wow taste bud explosion one would normally get with a som tum . Hey guys maybe taste the dressing and look to add some fish sauce , lime, chillie and palm sugar.. balance this up… please . We will return… actually can’t wait… highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion, or simply to just spoil yourself.
Our first stay in Burleigh Heads so we felt Rick Shores was a must. I watched their website and booked in as soon as the online bookings became available (60 days out). We were not disappointed. Given possibly the best table available right by the window/beach. Beautiful ambience, an outdoor/indoor feel and what a view! Great service and food (we had the set menu). We were not rushed at all..(it was busy Saturday 20/8) we had the table for 2 3/4 hours. Highlight of our family time in Burleigh Heads. Thanks to all!

After we have read all the amazing reviews about rick shores, we are looking forward to our long awaited booking is super popular so that tabs are good in advance. at the arrival we were quick to sit and were super satisfied with our water table. the waiters are amazing. we decided to use the set menu with a few changes due to the nutritional preferences of the waiter and chef meet the brand perfectly, we loved every single cursor. we will definitely come back!
Yes, they have to book well in advance, but wait was worth it. we had luck, it was a clear night, not too windy, as our table at the window was great. we enjoyed the tasting menu as a small group, with each nutrition. request easily changed by the efficient staff. our waitress was in a conversation about the menu. very efficient while they feel very relaxed. the food was on the spot. we'll come back when we're in the opposite.

all I can say that they need to know someone if they want to be a more casual diner, take friends priority when it comes to sitting places that go to the outside, it is a shame as some of the foods... really good, but never go back, they obviously make too much money.

Had the pleasure of dining at ricks for a business lunch… did not disappoint. We were served by Alex and Jesse and they are phenom. Amazing service, friendly, attentive, would visit again just for these guys! Be sure to get the rib eye, it won’t...disappoint.
