Takeaway meal 2 fish, large chips, fishcake 2 mushy 2 curry £28!!! I know prices have gone up but I honestly thought they had only put in one fish when we got home. Nothing like an actual “fish” when we got home more like 3 fish goujons. Looked like each bit was not even half a fish. I did check the order as the server read back my order as 2 fish slices. I checked and he said that’s our regular fish. It is not regular it is tiny !!! fishcake was also the smallest I’ve seen. Looked like a child’s. Never again.
The title says it all. We had a meal in the restaurant and we were greeted in a warm and friendly manner; found a table and order taken. The food was WOW!! Honestly, the best fish and chips I have had for a very long time! Cooked to perfection, Generous portions and generally wonderful. We left very full, and really happy. Certainly will be back. Food 10*/10 Service 10/10 Cleanliness 10/10 VFM 10/10.
We went in on Saturday 9th December and both had fish chips and peas with a cup of tea. As my wife is Coeliac, we ordered 1 gluten free version. Great service, comfortable surroundings, friendly staff and excellent food. So great to have quality gluten free food and a restaurant that takes it very seriously to avoid any cross contamination even providing separate GF vinegar. 10/10.
My friends and I come this Restaurant every Tuesday evening after a long day hiking in the Peak District . Not once have they failed to exceed our expectations in food quality and hospitality , the waitresses Chaylee and Indi are a friendly and attentive pair considering that they have to put up with us and our friendly banter. I’ve had a few gf fish and chips in the years since being told I have celiacs but this is by far the most amazing gf food! You can see they care and you can witness the effort they go to keeping the food separate and serving it to you and it’s well worth the money! Thank you for taking the time to create delicious gf options
Chose Ripley's as they do GF Friday and Saturday evenings. A plus is that they have dedicated fryers. It is the best GF Batter I have tasted. Light and crispy. My husband and mum has regular Fish and Chips and said they were delicious too. Shame we live in Dorset, but when visiting family will definitely return.
Best Gluten free fish and chips around. Great staff, very friendly. We have been eating here for years both takeaway and eat in, the food has always been consistently great!

Can’t fault Ripley’s this evening. Food was delicious, the staff were really nice and great value for money. What’s not to like. We will be going back
