Ich muss zunächst sagen, dass mein Polpo Croccante sehr gut war und die Scialatielli con Code di Gambero meiner Eltern auch gut waren. Allerdings werden wir auf zukünftigen Reisen nach Locarno nie wieder in dieses Restaurant zurückkehren. Wir kamen mit unserer Familie von 7 und baten um einen Tisch. Wir hatten keine Reservierungen. Der Kellner entschuldigte sich bei uns und meinte, dass es bald regnen würde und er uns keinen überdachten Tisch geben könne. Wir sagten, es sei in Ordnung, weil die Chancen auf Regen ziemlich gering waren. Wir saßen an zwei kleinen Tischen, die kaum groß genug waren. Wir fragten, ob es möglich sei, einen zusätzlichen Tisch zu bekommen, und sie sagten, das sei nic...
Excellent outdoor restaurant in the main square. Visiting during World Cup and visited during important match and stopped for a drink. Excellent customer service given face paint and scarf. Visited next evening and tried food and was presently surprised at the quality and reasonable cost. Most restaurants in area quite pricey and normal quality but I and my girlfriend loved this place! Excellent "Rock Grill" where your food comes on hot granite slab and cooks in front of you! And pizza was fantastic! Staff friendly and welcoming and live music also. A++
Zuerst: Das Personal war sehr freundlich, aber wir saßen in einem separaten Raum, wo normalerweise das Frühstück serviert wird. Das Essen war in Ordnung, aber nichts Besonderes. Die gemischten Salate waren frisch zubereitet, aber das Risotto wurde auf einem kalten Teller serviert und war wahrscheinlich überkocht. Leider war die Pizza Calzone oben schwarz und drinnen mit zu viel Käse gefüllt. Wir verließen das Lokal mit gemischten Gefühlen, obwohl wir einen lustigen Abend hatten...
An einem regnerischen Sonntagabend ist es nicht einfach, in Locarno einen guten Ort zum Essen zu finden. Wir fühlten uns extrem willkommen, der Service war sehr freundlich (Weinkenntnisse fantastisch). Das Essen war wirklich lecker. Wir hatten von allem ein bisschen; Tartar (mit Burrata, tolle Idee), Carpaccio, Caprese, Risotto Milanese, alles ausgezeichnet. Ich hatte die klassische Pasta Pesto mit Mandeln, wunderschön. The location is wonderful. You'll be lured in, especially on a beautifully warm, sunny day in mid-November, as we were by the beauty and the people watching. But just have a cocktail and enjoy the view; don't buy the food. The salad I ordered had canned beans and canned corn and a pile of shredded carrot. The vegetable soup had only a thin tomato broth and celery and was horrible. Our server was great and very friendly, but don't waste your money.
First, the staff was very friendly but we were in a separate room where they normally serve breakfast. The food was okay and nothing special. The mixed salads were freshly made but the risotto was served on a cold plate and probably overcooked. Unfortunately the pizza calzone was "black" on top and filled with too much cheese inside. We went out with mixed feelings although we had a funny evening...
Everything we had for lunch was coming out of the freezer from veggies to sausages and country fries. We should have played it safe and asked for pizza as the kids did.However the service was nice and friendly which was greatly appreciated after the disappointment from the food!
You pay a premium due to the location, the staff are run off their feet and the food is utterly average - give it a miss! You're better off with a picnic on the lac front... Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
