This dining experience was less impressive than previous ones. Although we requested our server to give us some time before ordering, we didn't expect to be ignored. The food was average and not exceptional, especially considering the fixed price of $75-80. The soup was quite bland, while the pasta dishes were decent but lacked any strong flavor. The same goes for the veal and dessert. Given the abundance of excellent Italian restaurants in the area, I found my visit to Bartolotta's to be disappointing.
Food was good, although we didn’t realize that they were doing a special menu for Sicily. But it was good. Service was highly mediocre. We had team servers as usual, but both seemed incredibly disinterested and distracted the entire time. We had to ask for bread, we had to ask for more water, they didn’t clear plates, and we were seated at a two person table, which has little room for additional plates are cutlery.
Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing. The food was merely average and didn't meet the standards we've encountered before. We hope to see more authentic special menus and wines in the future. On a positive note, the service was excellent.
