Nach einem Aufenthalt am Paloma Beach entschieden wir uns noch eine Kleinigkeit in der Nähe zu essen, bevor wir zurück ins Appartement fuhren.Wie so oft konnte ich mich nicht entscheiden, da ich das eine Gute gesucht habe und die Touristenbuden auslassen wollte. So kam es, dass wir durch den kleinen Hafen schlenderten und an dieses Restaurant vorbeiliefen. Schon der Geruch nach frischem Knoblauch und Meeresfrüchten war so einladend, dass selbst meine Begleitung überzeugt sofort war dort zu essen, obwohl sie eigentlich nur eine Pizza wollte.Englisch war hier überhaupt kein Problem, hätte ich vorher gewusst, dass er auch sehr gutes Deutsch spricht, hätten wir wohl noch mehr gequasselt.Wir best...
I only read after I went there the very positive reviews of this restaurant and I wondered if I hadn't been wrong about it. enchanting location for the view of the port and sunset but the furniture remained that of twenty years ago. friendly Italian managers, guests ate pizzas, admissions and fish. pizza ..... paste and tomato good but the mozzarella d'outre-Alpes does not deserve any comment. all'arrabbiata pennails were ordered, the main dish of Italian cuisine we all thought but what I saw served was an absolute novelty. This small restaurant is located in an off-center spot of St Jean, and is often overlooked. But, many who live in the town use it as the default restaurant of choice. On the water near the Charlie Chaplin Theater it is the only restaurant within 100 yards. Accordingly, visitors tend to drift down to the other site of the port where most of the towns other restaurants are located. What sets La Conchiglia apart are the fresh ingredients which Nino brings back from Italy each week. Excellent pasta, fresh fish, and great prices. Plus a view of the Port with 15 outside tables.
Fantastic restaurant, high quality delicious food and friendly professional staff. The owner and his wife are so lovely and take so much pride in their work. Highly recommended if you like Italian food. The owner buys all his fresh produce and wine in Italy so your experience is totally authentic. Best food we had all week. We will definitely return!!
at the end of the harbour, a very pleasant terrace where you can easily relax. the very friendly Italian owner answers our many questions to advise us at best. We found the dishes and the wine very good.
restaurant ideally located on the port of st jean, not catch tourists like others. dishes are excellent, fresh products and friendly welcome.Italian speaking is one more to exchange with servers. :-)
The fish is superb. No need to have a starter. Staff were very welcoming and it was lovely to be able to sit outside overlooking the fishing boats.
