The table waiter is wonderful, but the bartenders are certainly missing. Definitely not friendly. I was not greeted for some time, and when we were recognized, it seems like an effort to even give us a drink. Quite right rude. Even worse for the couple sitting next to me. So much so that they leaned and said it was so for a while. It wasn't the first time. Terrible. It wasn't busy. Two bartenders. Male and female. So sad that such a large local restaurant represents these two people River City. We hope they will change soon. This is my first review at all, but I felt compelled to be a former restaurant owner. Sometimes we get caught as owner and don't know the face of our facility is ruined.
Delightful from A to Z. Very nice and clean Restaurant in the heart of Punta Gorda. A friendly greeting at the entrance sets the tone. Explaining the options between two restaurants, inside or outside seating. Or if just in the mood for a handcrafted cocktail, a long Bar to the right of the entrance seem to be the right place to be. Service is professional and friendly. The choices on the menu balanced between land and sea. We tried 2 appetizers, both the shrimp and calamari were perfectly prepared. The Madagascar Shrimp as main course were the right choice, and not quite as spicy as anticipated. The Butterfish at perfection. Sure a place to recommend
Impressive service, excellent food. I was very amazed. The tariff was a mixture of homemade comfort food prepared at the highest level. The pot roast? Wow, the scallops, phenomenal, the salmon, melt in the mouth. Don't forget the desert. The chocolate cake is beyond the sky. Our server Andy went beyond and beyond to ensure that we were supervised, and even help to retrieve the lost screen behind the stand. You will not be disappointed to choose this gastronomic jewel.
Absolutely love it!!! It was my first time visiting Punta Gorda and River City Grill made me feel so comfortable especially being so far away from home. The owner and bartender were Awesome !!! Scallop special with maple butter was delicious. the pasta shrimp was great too. our friend said the beef was ok. I found the atmosphere a little dark and dreary. Recommend to sit outside. Service was good. The chocolate cookie/brownie for dessert and it was yummy. Not a fine wine kind of place but good food.
Comfortable café atmosphere. Friendly staff. Menu and wine list. Offer gluten-free food. Prices are usually moderate. Great place for a birthday... since Zelebrant gets a free piece of cake decorated with candle! Happy Birthday is not sung! Look at it!
What a great discovery for me , it is in a great location, atmosphere, the food and service ...over the top ! I will definitely go back while I'm in Punta Gorda for sure ! Just another note they also have an Italian restaurant adjoining them as well !

About price and not much taste. The wine menu was decent, but it was. Decor needs updating carpet is a bad look for 2022.
