We met the chef at Cocozza in Harbor Town in Memphis as she was honored for her painting that was revealed at a private event. She invited us to try River Oaks where she is one of the chefs. We loved it. During the last couple of months, we returned a few times. When I asked my wife where she wanted to celebrate her Mother's Day dinner, she chose River Oaks. We started with sides of angel hair pasta made freshly. OMG. I had crab cakes and a delicious salad. My wife chose the grouper and I loved my filet. We share bites (surf and turf). Sue enjoyed her Prosecco from Italy and I loved my Meiomi Pinot Noir ...
I was there with two others, we each ordered something different. So we could share a bite of one another's. I had the pastrami sandwich, It was out of this world crazy tasting !!! Each entree was delicious and beautifully presented. The drinks were excellent, Rubin Joee were our bartender and server. They were both very polite, nice and attentive. I will highly recommend this fine establishment to any and all.
We celebrated our daughter's high school graduation at this restaurant, and it was a wonderful experience. Our server, Mary Beth, was attentive, cheerful, and incredibly helpful. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Since we were a party of nine, they seated us in a quieter alcove, which was perfect. I would return in a heartbeat!
Great dinner and great service. The cheeses were excellent as an appetizer. The tuna tartare was wonderful. My wife said the crab cakes were the best. Scallops great! Steak great! Will be going back many times! Tom was great! Thank you for being a great treasure in Memphis!

As always, everyone enjoyed their lunch choice. Our server was on it with a table of five chatty women. Love the food and atmosphere for both lunch and dinner!
The crabcakes were some of the best I think I've ever had and I loved that salad that came with them. The citrus dressing on the salad was delicious.
