TL;DR I highly recommend this gem of a museum! The Riverside Museum (free entry) covers all forms of transportation and the part each mode played in Glasgow's history. There are also exhibits about everyday life. My absolute favorite exhibit was the reconstruction of a Glasgow street from the early 1900s. An added bonus is The Tall Ship located directly behind the Riverside Museum. Entry is also free.
This is a very comprehensive museum of modern science of transport, with quite a few interactive displays where kids can enjoy themselves all around. Displays are very detailed and showing amazing replicas (in many cases originals) of objects from the past. As a bonus, entry is free which does make a difference for bigger families. Easily couple of hours of well spent family time. Totally recommended.
Nice free museum with interactive displays where kids also can be involved. Had a nice time. Close to the city centre with plenty of priced parking. Beautifully designed museum. Great selection of vehicles and exhibits and lots of history. There is also a great looking tall ship that you can visit for free. Definitely recommend
