Fantastic way to spend an afternoon! Very close to the city centre with plenty of reasonably priced parking which is easily offset by the free entry to the museum itself. The entire place is maintained to a very high standard with a lot of very interesting exhibits with rich histories from trains to prams and subway carriages. Very educational place to visit which is nicely rounded off with a visit to the cafe upstairs which has spacious seating and great views over the Clyde, would definitely recommend, especially for kids as there are lots of interactive elements for them to enjoy.
Fantastic museum to visit especially with little ones. It has something for everyone and when its open the tall ship is a fantastic bonus. The museum is free although there are plenty of opportunities to donate money. The car park is has coin only ticket machines but you can pay online or via the phone. I've been about 3 times now and managed to stay about 2 hours each time and whilst my son has got older he's moved from looking at the trains to taking interest in the cars other retro artifacts.
I visited with my daughter today, haven't been to the muse befor, although have been to the Glenlee and the old transport museum. I thoroughly enjoyed...
