If you are reading these reviews you will notice that the owners nor the management answer any of the reviews. Which tells me they don't care. We came to the Riverview Restaurant on Sunday August 4th. I love catfish. We saw this place on Talk of the Town Miss Cheap segment. I ordered the 2 piece catfish dinner. Others at our table ordered different things. When our food came out some of our food like okra was overcooked and dry. I took a bite of my catfish and it was dry with the consistency of chicken meat. Good catfish should be tender, flakey and moist. It was horrible along with the okra. Very overcooked. The green beans were canned with zero seasoning. All our hush puppies were burnt. T...
Had lunch with a friend while out riding our motorcycles today. I had never heard of this place. It was really good. I’m airways in search of good fried catfish and fried shrimp. I created a combo with two items. The catfish was excellent and I was very, very surprised by the shrimp. They were large and seasoned just right. I thought the hush puppies were on point too. I even had the fudge brownie over ice cream dessert. So good. All in all, I great meal and a nice location overlooking the river. I really enjoyed it.
We had dinner with friends on a Wednesday evening and it was fantastic. The food and service were excellent. The view of the river was a big plus, and we even saw a steamboat passing by on its way down the Cumberland. I highly recommend this restaurant, and definitely try the key lime pie—it's worth the indulgence!
Restrooms need attention. Poorly managed. Dirty dishes left on tables. If service was improved the patio and food would be more enjoyable and easier to pay a premium to enjoy. The restaurant could benefit from offering more options on the menu. Additionally, it would be great to see the return of the Salad Bar. On a positive note, there is a ramp at the front entrance, making it wheelchair accessible.
What a great place for catfish !! The staff is so friendly and the service was wonderful .. This is definitely a keeper..
Had a nice view of the Harpeth River, and the food was top-notch. I had the catfish filet dinner, and it was great.
