Riviera is an outstanding Italian restaurant, a rare find in the area. My father and grandmother, longtime Queens residents, usually prefer Il Nocello, which is also excellent. However, we happened to drive by Riviera, were drawn to the inviting atmosphere, and since none of us had been there before, we decided to give it a shot. The food was superb, and the staff were attentive without being overbearing. The crowd was varied, and the ambiance was relaxed yet enjoyable. The host and owner made us feel very welcome. Super solid Italian spot, and there?s really not many left in the area. My dad and grandmother, who has lived in Queens for forever, like to go to Il Nocello, which is also good, but we were driving by Riviera and I liked the vibe and none of us hadbeen, so we decided to try it. The food is on point, servers were great (attentive but not at all trying to rush us), clienteleis super laid back, vibes are casual but nice, and the host/owner was super welcoming. I visited my cousin in Whitestone, coming from Virginia, and was craving Italian food. Riviera served the most authentic Italian dishes I've ever had. We shared the chicken piccata and a Caprese salad. The chicken was served on two separate plates, which was a thoughtful touch—I don’t think I could have finished it if it had come as one large entree. The bread was served warm, and our water glasses were always kept full. Although the Caprese salad was mainly just sliced tomato and mozzarella, it would have been even better with some basil and a drizzle of oil, but it was still tasty. I don’t usually write reviews after just one visit, but I had to share my experience at Riviera. The restaurant is clean and welcoming, with comfortable seating and excellent service. The portion sizes on the regular menu are generous, and the seafood in my dish was exceptional. The shrimp cocktail was delicious, and the dessert menu was impressive as well. Our waiter was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Considering the quality of the food and the generous portions, the prices are very reasonable. They also offer a lunch special that seems like a great deal, though I chose from the regular menu and was more than satisfied. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Visited my cousin n(I from Virginia) , in Whitestone and yearned for Italian food. This is the most authentic Italian food I?ve had. We shared chicken piccata and a Caprese salad. They brought the chicken in 2 separate plates and didn?t miss a beat fromthere. I don?t think I could have finished it myself if it were one whole entree. The bread came out warm and the water wasalways tended too. The caprese salad could have more then just sliced tomato and mozzarella cheese., like maybe some basil andoil drizzled over it but it was still good The staff is very friendly and takes a lot of pride in their work and ristorante,very clean and welcoming.
I don't usually leave a review after a first visit but for Riviera I wanted to. Beautiful clean place, seating spacious, excellent service. The portions on the regular menu are generous and the quality of the seafood in my dish was exceptional!Shrimp cocktail excellent as well and terrific dessert menu. Our waiter was very helpful and nice. For the quality of the foodand portion size it's affordable. They also have a lunch special which is a good deal although I opted for the regular menu andnot sorry at all. Definitely going to be going back and soon!
We've been coming to Riviera for years. Since moving to Florida about five years ago, visiting Riviera has always been a must. The stuffed artichokes are a special highlight, but I can never resist the Penne Vodka. My husband has tried many items from the menu and loves them all. Everything here is exceptional. The staff, especially Danny, are wonderful. Riviera is definitely one of the things we miss the most.
We have been going here for years years. We moved to FL about 5 years ago and EVERY time we come up, Riviera is an absolute must. The stuffed artichokes (a special) are fantastic. I can never get past the penne vodka, it?s so good. My husband, on theother hand, has pretty much eaten everything on the menu. Everything is exceptional. Danny staff are just great.Riviera is oneof the things we miss most.

This is a best kept neighborhood secret with the price fixed weekday lunch and early bird dinner specials. Comes w choice of soup or salad, entrees dessert, etc. Great service but can be noisy when full everyone chatting away. Easy meter parking infront free on-street parking just a short distance away.
