We wanted to like this place more than we did. Roam had been on our list of places we wanted to check out for a long while. Finally got in to try it and we were mostly disappointed.Right off the bat we got some sticker shock from a $65 price on two burgers, a soup, and two beverages. We could have maybe swallowed the price if the food were phenomenal but to be honest I have had better burgers at McDonald's.The concept of the burgers sounded appealing but the execution was poor. A major failing is that the meat patty was ridiculously thin. Like every bite you take you wonder if there is any meat in there at all. I was very impressed with the food at this restaurant. My nephew and I had dinner here and he ordered a cheeseburger with regular fries and I ordered the chicken strips with an order of the fried zucchini and we shared the sweet potato soup. Everything was very good. My chicken strips were obviously made fresh to order. The soup was obviously homemade as well because it was some thing I have never had before and definitely tasted homemade. And I can't rave enough about the zucchini. I've never had zucchini like this before and in my mind I'm wondering how I can make this myself, it's so good. I look forward to visiting this restaurant again to try some thing else on the menu, like maybe one...
My wife and I seen a post on Nextdoor. From the photos, the food looked really good. So we drove our family 20 miles to try it out. It was not worth the trip. I would rather eat McDonald's than there. My son the chicken strips and my daughter order the spicy chicken strips and neither one of them liked it. It wasn't seasoned and the strips taste and look like ot was fried in old oil. Another negative was that we paid $12 for 3 yes, only 3 strips, which is a ripoff. I would understand paying 12 if it was a combo, but $4 a strip?, smh...My wife had a veggie burger with sweet potato fries. She said that frozen sweet potato fries taste better and the burger wasn't something she would order again...
BUGS IN THE FOOD! DISGUSTING! This is completely inexcusable there were THREE dead fruit flies and a dead spider on my lettuce. Who knows what other bugs were on the other parts of the burger that I couldn’t see. My wife and I had to throw away our $40 take away order. Strongly recommend everyone stay away from this location. Overall good stuff, which could be a little bit pricey. We’re talking about $15 for three types of french fries in Fry-Fecta. However, it is enough and fancy serving. Good job! One very juicy and tender burgers with unique and distinct taste. Although I think french fries, inside of the burger is a little bit extra. Good thing that they do serve beers here as well to complete your burger experience. Good job, Roam Artisan Burgers.
I finally tried a few weeks back, the Tejano burger was delicious but wrong bun. I tried again this time BBQ style… so/so the bun again was NOT the Classic Brioche and the onions were not really caramelized. The Strawberry shake was PERFECT! I give it four stars because their seems to be a language barrier which is sad no one seems interested in communicating. I will try one more time!?
This is the 3rd time I've ordered the Harvester burger. This time it only had 1/2 slice of bacon on it the greens were wilted. As a side, I ordered the Haystack of zucchini with onions. I also ordered a side of Giadiniera aioli to go with the Haystack. The aioli was curdled. If it was too close to closing that you gave me leftovers, don't confirm my order!
