The hostess was very gracious and pleasant, which got things off to a very good start. She also worked her butt off while we were there, cleaning and setting tables, etc. She adds value. Ambience was fair. Seemed a bit dark and spare. Tables were a bit close, so there was jostling of seats when a party left. Minor inconvenience. Our waiter was nice enough, but not as attentive as he should have been. Rather than deliver wine with salads, we had to ask for it, and from the temperature, it was likely the glasses were sitting at the bar for him for a while. The restaurant was quite busy, but the servers didn’t miss a beat. While we’d indicated that there was no rush for a number of requests, such as for additional beverages , and we had minor requests for substitutions, nothing was a problem, and everything was done as if we’d asked for a rush, etc.The food was good, the portions very reasonable. Outstanding! We dined with 7 adults and 2 children. Since it was still the offseason (April 28th), we were able to make reservations and our table was ready when we arrived. Server greeted us right away, took our drink orders then returned propmtly with our beverages and took our order. Baskets of garlic bread were served and our salads arrived quickly. Everyone raved about their entrees and the portions were huge and delicious. We saw pizzas being served to those seated beside us and they also were huge and looked amazing! We will def. return soon to try one! Our server kept our drinks and bread refilled without us needing to ask. We will definitely be back!
Second time I've eaten at Roberto's. The first time was great. This last visit was not so great. My guests had the Meatballs and Lasagna, and they said it was very good. My Veal Marsala was more like Veal and Gravy, absolutely no Marsala taste. I make a much better Marsala sauce using Marsala wine and a demi-glace thickener. Maybe the chef had a bad night or maybe they were using a supplier's recipe, either way, it was so bad that I didn't eat most of it. THE SERVICE IS VERY POOR. THE PRICES ARE UNBELIEVABLE FOR THE QUALITY OF THE FOOD.FORGET CALLING IN A TAKE OUT ORDER YOU WILL BE TOLD IT WILL BE READY IN 25 MIN AND WILL HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER ADDITIONAL 30 MIN AT LEAST. THE OWNER DAN WILL COME OUT AND SHRUG HIS SHOULDERS , CLUELESS TO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I HAVE REPEAT LY TRIED TO ENJOY THIS PLACE SINCE THERE ARE FEW PLACES HERE TO EAT. NOW I GIVE UP. We have dined at Roberto's for many years. The chef is continually making new dishes, and welcomes feedback from his customers. Even though we go frequently, the menu is diverse enough that there are always new dishes to try, yet the classic favorites are still available. Dave frequently makes rounds during the evening, chatting with customers, making everyone feel welcome. The staff is equally warm and competent, making every dining experience great. We have never regretted choosing Roberto's.
Service was slow and server was overwhelmed. I had the shrimp scampi and my husband had the chicken Parmesan. Both dishes were served cold and no taste to it. Won’t be going back anytime soon!
This site is very outdated. Pizza no longer on menu as well as several other items. Prices outdated also. However, it is an excellent restaurant!! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
