Despite the high praise and personal recommendations from friends, we were eagerly anticipating our visit to this restaurant. The evening started off well with tasty dishes, but we were disappointed by the quality of the tuna and salmon nigiri. The sushi was clearly frozen and not properly thawed, resulting in a lack of flavor and incorrect texture. The restaurant did deduct it from the bill, but we were uncomfortable with the initial lack of transparency regarding the bill. Despite the good service and ambiance, we were expecting more from this establishment. Incredible food and fantastic service. It's very small inside but we were the only ones there for their first weekend lunchtime service, which was fab! Amazing truffle and wagyu tataki, Otoro fatty tuna sashimi (incredible! , a few various sushi rolls, including the scallop and tempura prawn one, which I didn't want to share. We tried a bottle of their best selling sake too, which was delicious and refreshing. Not a cheap place, but 100% worth it and I will be back for a special occasion. The owner took fantastic care of us, and explained everything so well. Thank you!
We have been meaning to visit the rock star sushi bar for ages as a family of four and we finally got booked in, how lucky were we. The food is visually a work of art and tastes like no other sushi we’ve tried before as it is top class ingredients only that are used. We was guided on our choice by Igor the owner who is top of his game in Sushi making. We tried everything from Wagyu to miso black cod, and Nigiri. Saki was fab and complimented the food perfectly. This restaurant was flawless from beginning to end. I highly recommend trying the tasting menu. The owner even took the time to chat with us between courses, adding a personal touch to our dining experience. The seafood was of exceptional quality and the portion sizes were perfect. This place is amazing! The food was incredible and every bite tasted different. The customer service was incredible and every dish was explained to us and How each dish was a suppose to be eaten, not to mention the amazing presentation! 10/10
Best sushi I have ever had in my live. Went there for dinner with my hubby after making a reservation and I wasn't disappointed. The service and the food was impeccable the fish was so fresh. I will definitely be back.
As always, this place is my favorite. It has been the top spot in London for many years now. I have tried numerous restaurants in London and abroad, but this one remains at the top of my list.
